You will missed on that ole river Doug. Take care friend and best wishes and good health to you. Be sure to stay in touch with us on here.
See ya Bro..
Where do I start? Working on the Religious Tracker or the many trips to Dale? The smoking your brakes on the Durango EVERYTIME we went over the hill to get to the cabins at Dale or the kicking your azz running out of Hendrick's Creek in the Nitro? I just don't know where to start. Anyway, Doug, it has been my pleasure to get to know you, & consider you a friend. I told Austin you were moving and the first thing he asked was if you were going to Dale this year. I told him you were & he said good. I guess he didn't want Tim to feel so bad about being the ugliest one there, I don't know, I am just guessing here.
Keep in touch. Maybe we can make a trip up there sometime & catch some of those smallies from the north.
Jason
P.S. Now who is going to fill the spot of "ugliest on the River"? Mark, Chuck, Don, Tim T., John S., or just who? I think everyone needs to put that up for a vote. I would say me, but being as sexy as I am, it just can't be me. LOL
Hey Doug - never got to meet you but felt like I knew you through all the posts from and about you - it seems to me you dished it out about as well as you took it!
Good luck in this new phase of your life!
One bit of advise - if your MervaJean is Roy D. Mercer's ex-wife then look out for any strange phone calls . . . that might include
" . . . ain't nothing to me to whup a man's a** - HOW BIG A BOY ARE YOU?!!!"
Doug is UGLY enough that no matter where he goes it will take Decades for his UGLY to wear off here.

I'm way too purty to fill that slot, it's gonna have to be Tim T without a doubt.

Don't you just love democracy.
It is with honor that I humbly accept this award. I would just like to take a moment to thank those who made this possible. My parents for not believing in the pill. Mother nature for not only hitting me with the ugly stick, but beating the snot out of me with it for hours to make me the man I am today. To all of you who voted for me (particularly Rumplestilskin..er I mean Robert Stillson) and most importantly to Peter Maloney, for creating fishin.com and making all my dreams come true!
Thank you all and I will carry the banner proudly.....jeez Doug, now I want you to stay! :D
I've fished itasca county which is about 90 miles away from Deluth for several years. The fishing up there is unbelievable. The smallmouth up there are big, stupid and very numerous. Better start pumping some iron to get your arms ready for the bite around the first of June.
Doug,
I'm up there to Ely every year. Keep us posted.
