Re: U of L/ UK basketball grad. rates
Ironically, I just downloaded the Jim Calhoun "get some facts and come back and see me" sound byte as a text tone on my phone. I think somewhere in that rant he said about 10 million per year from the basketball team.
Ole Jim resides just below "send it in Jerome".....

Here are the recent facts...still looking for archived rates.
Oh and this is at the bottom of the article........."Indiana University was higher in men's basketball (57 percent) than UofL and UK."[/QUOTE]
I'm sure all those NBA Millionaires are desperately needing a college education so they can get a job at McDonalds like all the rest of the unemployed college grads are doing.
When your team loses to Nortwestern at home and ***** so bad that the fans start a Fire Tom Crean facebook page, then the only ammo you have is Grad Rates,
Re: U of L/ UK basketball grad. rates
Oh, we sucked yesterday....and most of the year. I posted that info for Mills and TimT. Just wait though....we have great...not good.....but great recruits on the way. When you completely gut a program it just takes a few years. The facebook page you mentioned....must have been made by immature punks that don't understand basketball...we just simply don't have the talent.
Re: U of L/ UK basketball grad. rates
You have great, not good, but great recruits on the way?....What does Kentucky have....I thought they had by far, far, far and away the number 1 recruiting class coming in....IU has 1 of the top 150 recruits coming, as do powerhouses Portland, Western Kentucky, Charlotte, George Washington, North Texas, SMU, and that basketball juggernaut, Harvard.....Kentucky has 3 of the top 6 and 4 of the top 25...Louisville has 4 of the top 150....Just like Keyshawn says...C'mon man...You have one decent recruit coming in...Kentucky has the highest rated recruit to come out of IN in awhile in Marquis Teague coming in next year....IU will struggle even worse as long as they can't keep their talent in state
Re: U of L/ UK basketball grad. rates
UK can have the GREATEST class in the world and they still won't win. One and DONE players cannot get it DONE.
I think U of L has a better chance, and quite frankly.....
Besides, anything you do accomplish under the current coach will be vacated in the next few years......
Later

Re: U of L/ UK basketball grad. rates
that's right kick us whilewere down..But we'll be back to kicking the daylights outta you'll again....Wait and see baby......:D
Re: U of L/ UK basketball grad. rates
I'm not kicking anybody...Just pointing out the facts when he said you all had a "great" recruiting class coming in.....I think the one and dones might slow down for KY a bit....I'd say Terrance Jones is gone for sure, as well he probably should be....Doron Lamb will be back for sure next year and has the makings of a stud 2 guard....He can shoot the lights out of the ball.....Brandon Knight is a big question mark....he's struggling with the contact of the college game and that will only increase at the next level....He may be better served to come back another year or two to get more phsyical....He may also take the plunge into the NBA....If Knight and Lamb stay next years team could be tough....Looking at next years squad I'd say Gilchrist and Davis are one and doners...not sure about Teague and I'd say Wiltjer will stay.....It'll take Cal some time to get some players to stay like he had at memphis and it's looking like a good start

We only have two scholarships and two recruits coming in.....Zeller is rated in the top twenty overall. 2012 is the year to look for. We have the #1 class right now i believe....most of which are in-state players. Mills is right....those top rated recruits are one and done....don't do you any good....just Eric Gordon didn't for us! You can have Teague....not all he is cracked up to be!
Re: U of L/ UK basketball grad. rates
Actually after looking at the NBA draft projections Knight may go....They have Jones at 6 and Knight at 16.....Not sure if he stays another year that his draft status would get much higher.....Although if you look at last years UK squad their draft statuss, other than John Wall, were a few spots higher than they should have been just because of the team they played with.....and that looks a lot like UK's class next year....Daniel Orton is a jackwagon....He should still be wearing the blue and white instead of playing in the D league

If you are hanging your hat on the "Current #1 Recruiting Class of 2012", then IU Basketball is in WORSE shape than I thought it was. Currently the "#1 Recruiting Class of 2012 for the Indiana Hoosiers" has 1 kid signed that is projected in the top 25. Duke has 2 kids signed that are rated higher than the 1 kid IU has signed (6-11 inch 210 lb pole might I add), which to me makes their class the #1 class. There are 34 of the projected top 50 recruits that have not signed yet including the top 2 prospects. Before you say it, "How many does Kentucky have signed?", every year it will be like this because you don't know how many players will commit to the draft off this years team before others sign, ESPECIALLY coming off back to back #1 recruiting classes in america like we are. If Teague is "not all he is cracked up to be" then the other high school talent in Indiana Basketball MUST be absolutely horrible. Teague + His first step and ability to go left off the dribble = Dribble Drive, which is the offense that UK runs the last time I checked.

Who are you talking about being the 6-11 210 lb. pole??? Zeller?? His is in the 2011 class. Jurkin is in the 2012 class and is that size too. You can't teach size....Jurkin is a bit of a project......Zeller is a stud and weighs more than 210 now.... saw him play in person two weeks ago....can't wait to see him in cream and crimson next year!
