Re: What bait to throw
I caught a nice bass at nolin sunday on a 4 inch sinking shad rap. Black minnow with silver bottom. Let it drop down about 9-10 ft around standing timber and sunny areas around the bank and work it up like a worm letting it fall after every jerk. I couldnt get a bite on a spinner bait. Good luck.

Re: What bait to throw
I was able to get my kayak out and go fishing last Saturday at a pond. The water was fairly clear; I thought a jerk bait would be good. I did really good for a short time on a minnow rap and they shut down. I spend a lot of time jigging near structure and caught several. I probably caught about 10 in five hours. The best one was at the end of my day; I cast my jig to get all the loose line tightend out. I was swimming it back and was crushed by a 4 1/2 # bass. Nice way to end the day. I was tempted on putting a crank bait on and staying awhile longer but needed to get home. It was a fight with the wind all day but fun and successful. I was really happy with my day using jigs; I only missed one fish on a jig. Either I was luckier, getting better with jigs or the fish were dumber Saturday. Probably a combination.

Re: What bait to throw
I agree with the tube/jig bite on sunny banks.

Re: What bait to throw
Went to waverly park yesterday caught and seen people catching plenty of bass off of anything with a spinnerbait.

Love a four inch black tube, Texas rigged, or black terminator right now, slow and steady
