Re: CLand over 710 again
I've been planning my trip to C-land for about a month now. I don't care if I have to jump from floater to floater and use a floating fridge for a fishing deck, I am going. I survived the huge rain last year, didn't catch anything but had a great time. This year I'm by myself though so if it is just chocolate milk then I'll go else where. Would Dale be a good back up plan or will it be just as bad?

Dale is always a good backup, and again not a bad first choice..:p

Re: CLand over 710 again
Well the weather is calling for storms all week but I think they are suppose to be isolated. So as long as we don't get pounded with rain, I think it will be just fine. I have been for the past two years and have not had any luck with the weather/water conditions. I am going down Thursday night. I am going to see what the conditions are. How long do you think it would take to get from Burnside to Dale. I am only going for two days and would rather spend my time in a boat instead of a truck.

Re: CLand over 710 again
Hey Matt, you should be able to get from Burnside to the state park on Dale in a little over an hr. I think it would be worth the drive especially if the water is muddy. If I get my boat back from the shop by this weekend I'm planning on heading to Dale and driving right over C-Land. They've been nailing them down there on swimbaits and cranks. Probably spawning now but I'm sure some will still be on that pattern.

Re: CLand over 710 again
Thanks for the help. If its muddy, I will definitly head to Dale. My fishing buddy would hate me forever though. He's been trying to get to Dale for awhile now and he can't make it on this trip. I was looking at my GPS last night and looks like I might want to go ahead and buy a TN fishing lic. I have not been on Dale since I was 11 years old. Could someone point me in a general area to start? Thanks for all of the help.

Re: CLand over 710 again
I guess I'm going to miss the whole month of April. Every stinking rotten time I get ready and able to go to the lake more storms come and blow the lake out. It's now over 710 again and still rising, reports say the debris is horrible. If I'm going to drive 3 hours one way and spend 19 dollars a gallon for gas I'm gonna try and go when the lake isn't a white knuckle ride and blowed out.
This spring has totally frustrated me to the point of being almost mad about it. I know that's silly but this weather is getting sickening. Another 2 to 4 inches of rain expected this week with severe weather on top. Sorry for the vent but ENOUGH is ENOUGH.....
i hear yah! similiar situation last april. from reports, the bite had just picked up before recent deluge. trying to get back to Big C for some spring fishing too.
