Re: Is Cedar Creek a Fishing Lake only?
I fish Cedar a lot and everyone is correct. It's very crowded with a wide assortment of fishermen and non fishermen. If you really want some great fishing with some quiet time, fish it at night. There is still a few boats there but if you go at night during the week you'll find that's really the only way to fish this lake. That or wait til winter.
Agreed except for the duck hunters, they own the lake in winter or so they think! Had one fire is gun over my head last year I guess to warn me as if I did not see them or even going to fish his decoys. I was simply going around him! So watch out for buck shot in winter!
Re: Is Cedar Creek a Fishing Lake on
Never been there and Don't think it's in my future based on the post I have read here. Not sure Zoo is the appropriate word for it, maybe KDFWR can come up with a better description, (suburnites last reteat, etc. or things I can't print on this site...........,.
This is/was going to be KDFWR's pride and joy..., well maybe it is, but I'll leave it to all rest of the weekend warrors and want to be pro fishers. Better they fish Cedar then on the other KY lakes. COME ON OVER, CEDER LAKE HAS MONSTER LM BASS, GET YOU BOAT IN THE WATER BEFORE IT'S TO LATE. FISHING IS HOT, PRIME TIME, ANY TIME!! Come on over to
Cedar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:
Re: Is Cedar Creek a Fishing Lake only?
Cedar sure is busy on the weekends. During the week is OK. Late Winter and Early spring is a great bite with not as much pressure. I fish Cedar (NO PRO WANNA-BE) but mostly during the week after we start having warm weather and have had pretty good success (Shhhhhh!!!). I've been on Green the last couple of weeks and been killing 'em down there. Two Saturdays ago we only seen about 5 boats on Green because it was raining and the lake was unfishable?? (Ramp 1 was under water...Oh my.) Had a phenomenal day as well as the last two trips. Oh my there are other lakes in Kentucky to fish.....
Good fishing ya'll,
Tim
Re: Is Cedar Creek a Fishing Lake only?
Glad I read this forum I drive past there on the new 150 3-4 times a month about mid day and had been wanting to try it out.. But sounds like neither me or my poor little 14ft boat would make it out alive!!!! Is that lake not small enough they could have put a HP limit on it?

Re: Is Cedar Creek a Fishing Lake only?
I have fished Cedar several times and have never witnessed any of this. Except of course for the occasional idiot boat operator. But then they show up everywhere.
