I agree with zipper, Beaver lake can be really good
[QUOTE=Bassky;455129]Another thing to add, there was a bass tracker with a larger than 10hp motor running his big motor from the end of the lake to the ramp. It looked like around a 60hp motor. This is while we were launching. I can't believe these people that don't care and abide by the laws. I can see it happening if there is some kind of emergency but this was not the case. We need more wildlife CO's, to patrol and check the lakes and the fishermen. Just another law breaking story!

Was this guy on plane zipping down the lake? The law is the law, I agree. However, that 9.9 hp motor makes bigger wakes with the nose straight up in the air than my 200 hp idle only. I have and still do idle Boltz, kincade, elmer davis and corinth.
I have fished wilgreen several times. Idle only is the law on this lake and see no issue. Having to use trolling motor only all over the lake is cumbersome.
BTW, all the lakes listed above are pretty good for crackers and gills.

No, he wasn't zipping down the lake. He was idling at a pretty good clip though. If there would have been a CO there, no doubt he would have gotten a ticket. So you are breaking the law too??? AJ Jolly is idle only lake, unlimited HP. I will run my big motor there but not on 10hp lakes. Kincaid is full of small bluegill, no keepers. Corinth is good or it used to be. Elmer Davis too.

After my experience last weekend I think there are plenty of officers. They are just too busy writting high dollar BS tickets to people that are unaware of obscure regulations.

Yes I do. Taking a chance that all the officers are too buzy. I guess when I get caught I will stop (maybe). My idle speed hurts no one. does not disturb anyone fishing. I understand the law is the law. That is one that I break frequently. Must be the rebel in me.
I really like Boltz and Elmer Davis for the big gills.
