Re: asian carp in big bone
OMG that would be fun! Can you image what double-ott buckshot would do!
Okay. if the use of guns is illegal, how about "BATTER UP"
Now batting, playing Bow, with a .330 batting average, and 29 home runs this year, swinging a 34- Inch/48-Ounce Louisville Slugger Solid Maple Bat, Tronto Blue Jays Jose Bautista.
The fish are winding up, the carp is in the stretch, and here comes the delivery.........Its a high fast ball, Bautista leans in and swings, he got all of that one......its a high long drive over the neighboring bass boat, its over the houseboat, it cleared the gas pumps at the dock........this one might be.....it may be.......yes.....its out ta here!
And the crowd goes wild. Next on deck, Sammy Sousa.
With Jose Bautista and Sammy Sosa you are saying STEROIDS are LEGAL!!!! I guess Mark McGuire and Jose Canseco will be batting 3rd and 4th and Roger Clemens will be "Casting Batting Practise"
On a serious note: We can put men on the moon, have cell phone apps that can start our car, unlock our doors and set the alarm, cars that parallel park themselves and a million other things but can't find a solution to the Asian Carp problem. Seems to me, I read they could be ground up into fertilizer. If so, a boat designed with outboard motors on them with massive nets to catch the 1,000s at a time that jump ran up and down the rivers would eventually kill them off or some chemical in the water that attacks only the nervous system of this species of fish. All in the world that technology can do and this problem can't be solved. Imagine Ky Lake in the Spring or Summer with the 1,000s of boats on the water and Asian Carp jumping all over the place. No telling at how the economy would be affected not to mention the fishery after the Carp eat all the plankton and such that the shad feed on.
Re: asian carp in big bone
OMG Elnut, how does "wacking fish" equate to "endorsing steroid abuse".
Wow, I'm glad I didn't suggest setting the fish up and kicking field goals with them.
