Homie please expand on burping those deep fish.
Homie is dead on! If you are planning on fishing deep and hauling fish/tourney that were caught deep then please learn how to fizz the fish. I have heard of flipclips working but fizzing the fish has always worked for me.
Go to youtube and watch Doug Hannons How to fizz a bass video.

Seems like alot of trouble i know but it's easy and quick. If you ever have a fish go belly up or trying to swim to the bottom and can't then that fish is dead if you don't do something quick.
I've also heard people say they hold the fish upright until it regulates itself or use weights (flipclips), but i've read that even if they right theirselves the damage has been done to other organs and the fish has little chance for survival.
Just hope everyone does all they can do to increase the survival of fish.

Re: Any barren report?
timE exlant video couldnt explained it that well my self im kinda new at it myself but it does work
and also if i got a fish going bad i have a ginger ale or mountian dew in the boat to put in there with them
i think it works better than reguvinate (just my thinking)
with the high water at barren two years in a row the spawn has been ausome fishing has been better than the past and have seen some nice fish there this year myself and our local club do our best to take care of our fish as a cluk not a dead fish has been brought in all year!!!!!!
keep those fish alive
best of luck 2 all

Re: Any barren report?
there is several differant ways to burp ( or fizz ) a bass
in the mouth is the best for a rookie might take a poke or two but does less damage to the fish and well worth the risk to save the fish

Re: Any barren report?
Start looking shallow, shallow, shallow,. Did i say shallow? Things are changing and i'm glad. I've saw more dead 5lbers. this yr. than live ones, but i think the patterns are about to change.
I said i've been catching them from 20'-6' deep. I can divide that in half after this week. You should have a topwater ready to go and make sure those are hybrids bustin shad.

Re: Any barren report?
You can say that again, Me & my girlfriend were there Thursday. Put in at Port Oliver, went up Beaver, I mean up Beaver. Caught several fish in less then two ft of water throwing a Red Eye Shad.. One going over 4 lbs... Water temp was over 90 in some places.. We then went to other end of lake & went up river to the old bridge pylons and fished there on the flatt tons of Gar but alot of bass, mostly 12-14 in. chasing baitfish; did however catch two more keepers around 2-2.5 lbs, Not bad for water temps in the 90's, and catching them all in less then 4 ft of water.

Re: Any barren report?
Just reading the report about Beaver Creek. I know 3 guys that lost a lower unit trying to make it up Beaver this wkend. Said lots of dead heads sticking up in the creek channel and if you get out of the channel its over. Good luck
