Re: favorite bait question
i like lizards this time of the year. me and my buddy did really well on crankbaits at nolin last fall. color didn't really seem to matter for us. but we seemed to be the only people puttin up numbers on that lake. we never used a rattle trap then but you better believe i'm going to try them this year.
Re: favorite bait question
I have a few...first I love a bass assasign, great bait in the fall imitates a shad perfectly...second, a rattle trap, great search bait in fall, third, a shallow running crankbait, like a strike king 4s, and finally topwater, love buzzbaits, and kermit the frog.

Any particular colors you like more than the other in each of those types of baits?
Re: favorite bait question
I recall Tony Bean giving a seminar on fall fishing and when the question came up about colors of rattletraps he said "any color is alright as long as it is chrome & blue" I can't argue.
Re: favorite bait question
I also like to use a 3in darker green or brown color grub.

you better hope they hit those this fall because you know you're gonna get smacked if the spinnerbait bite is on again :D
Re: favorite bait question
Sure!! Cause the number 4 rapala custom green color is going to be on fire. End of story.

I like the salt and pepper color on the bass assasin, sexy shad on the rattletrap, white with a chartreuse back on crankbaits, and topwater I like anything with chartreuse in it.

How do you fish the bass assasin (top water or do you fish it deeper) Then how do yo rig (Texas style) and what type hook (EWG of course I would think)?
Thanks
Re: favorite bait question
Scrounger head with a Z-Man type fluke (elastek real stretchy), Chatterbait with blue glimmer skirt and fluke type trailer - stroked. Slongs spinnerbait in blue glimmer (this bait was designed for fall fishing)

1/16 oz Punisher Duck Feather and Red FNF jig
