Re: Fly Away...., fly away....
You're missing the point. What does the amount of money we're printing have to do with anything? Only a small percentage of American dollars exist as cash. What exactly is he saying? We should shut down the US mints, and failure to do so is somehow "treason?" Sorry, but that's crazy talk.
Well he said that quantitative easing does not work and printing more money to pay our debt just devalues the dollar even more. A weaker dollar isn't what this economy needs to get back on its feet. Weakening the dollar for political reasons will harm this country and harming this country intentionally is treason.
Re: Fly Away...., fly away....
OK thanks, I guess I hadn't really understood the quote, but I still say it's over the top accusing him of treason.
Re: Fly Away...., fly away....
Anything done to undermine the security and sanctity of this country is treason, such as allowing millions of illegals to pour across the border just to get an illegal vote,or allowing companies to send our jobs offshore without facing tariffs, bailing automakers out with our tax dollars so they can move operations to Mexico,If anybody has committed treason recently,Obamunist is a prime candidate.
Re: Fly Away...., fly away....
Right, Bernanke is deliberately trying to undermine the security of the United States by printing more money. This is one thing a lot of ultra-conservatives just don't seem to get. Nobody's going to take you seriously if you accuse Democrats of having dark hearts, and deliberately trying to do harm to America, any more than reasonable people took those on the far left seriously when they called George Bush a "terrorist." Perry starts to make a good point about "quantitative easing," but then he shoots himself in the foot with his "treason" comment.
And I thought he might be the "Second Coming", guess I was wrong? Fly away my...., fly away.....
Texas Gov. Rick Perry was asked a question he evidently has no business answering, which probably means he has no business running for president. Queried about his views on the Federal Reserve and Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, Perry : If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I don't know what you would do with him. We would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas. Printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost treacherous -- or treasonous in my opinion.
As an acclaimed moderate Republican, who DO you support for president? Just curious.
Do you support 'quantitative easing'?
For anyone who hasn't heard, quantitative easing is the Democrats' new term for printing money. You know them, they're the same folks who brought you 'undocumented alien', and 'man caused disaster'.

Fair Enough.......How about someone from the past that you would have voted for, or did vote for.
Here is my list:
I would have voted for:
Reagan.
I did vote for:
Bush I
Perot
Dole
Bush II
Bush II
McCain.......but would have voted for Romney or almost anyone else.
With a Choice between the following:
Bill Clinton
Hillary Clinton
Edwards
Gore
Obama......
I'd vote for them in THAT order, if that was the only vote I could make.
THANK GOD republicans exist..
Later,
Geo

I've being doing this board a long time, trolling ain't been part of it.
Nice way to cop out instead of taking a stand though. Exactly what I expected.
I voted:
Carter
Reagan
Bush I and II
I'll vote for ANYONE other than President Obama in 2012.
See how easy it is to be honest?

Yeah, Mr. Obama has done a wonderful job of it hasn't he? We're in so much better shape after a couple of years of 100% Dimocrat control.
Now before you say it...it's all the evil Goerge Bush's fault. Right?
More like thank God for Republicans, or Democrats wouldn't have anyone to blame their failed policies on.

I know no one here's going to take me serious....but....I don't believe the democratic party as a whole are trying to deliberatley do harm to our country, but I do believe NObama is trying to do harm to our country. He's done or has tried to do to many stupid things, I really don't see how a POTUS can be as blind as he appears to me as being..
