Re: I have figured out SEC football expansion
College Basketball is just as corrupt as College Football. If ANYONE thinks Calipari and Pitino have not are not and will not in the future breaking NCAA rules they are crazy as heck. When I say Calipari and Pitino, I am including the Boosters of each program because they are ultimately responsible for both programs. The AD and University Presidents are fired AFTER the coach gets canned so the coach is responsible. When they see Boosters hanging around in places they should not, when they see the players driving cars or spending money that they don't have the means to get and such is the responsibilty of the Coach. If I recruited a player for as long as kids are recruited with all the services and such available coaches know the kids bathroom schedule before they sign. Even squeaky clean Coach K at Duke and The General Bobby Knight knowingly broke rules in the past will do so again in the present and given the opportunity will do so in the future. I know before the Hoosier bandwagon will say Bobby never had this or that and his kids graduated and...... You are delusional if you think Bobby Knight is a quire boy. No way he conducted himself in public with everybody watching did he not take the occasional shortcut to get an advantage in private to keep his team on top and more importantly keep Bobby Knight in front of the TV cameras. I really think the movie "Blue Chips" is a good representation of how boosters work. Tradition is out the window and Money runs College Sports. You have certain rivalries that will never die in College Sports but Money is killing the College Sports as a whole. Examples must be set and what better time to set them with Coaches like Tressel and the Former UT Basketball Coach ( name slips my mind right now), players like Pryor and Team like Miami. When coaches like Eddie Sutton can put a school on probation like he did at UK, then bolt for Oklahoma State and be coaching in the Big Dance while UK was still on probation us a joke. Suspend players for seasons, take away their scholarships while suspended so they can't use the college unless he pays his way and no contact with his coaching staff. Suspend coaches for year(s) and if he goes somewhere else then that school is on probation as well and hand out Death Penalties to Universities that break the rules. Firm, fair and consistent, HOW HARD IS THIS. Sort of like raising a small child and the parent threatens with discipline but never follows thru with it or when they do the punishment is no where near as severe as the crime. Where do I apply as President of the NCAA Rules Infraction Committee?
Re: I have figured out SEC football expansion
Tim,here are updated Major Infractions in Football for the 6 leading conferences according to the NCAA website =
https://web1.ncaa.org/LSDBi/exec/miSearch
Big 12 = 40 Major Infractions
SEC = 33 Major Infractions
Pac 12 = 32 Major Infractions
Big 10 = 24 Major Infractions
ACC = 20 Major Infractions
Big East = 10 Major Infractions
I certainly never said the SEC didn't cheat,I merely pointed out how your Big East teams cheated as well,how you point fingers at one conference while ignoring what goes on in your own backyard is beyond me.

When did The Big East start playing football? I knew they attempted to play a little roundball every now and then, but had no clue the pigskin was played in The BE.
