Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
When fishing with live bait what type rig and weight do you use ?????? Heading down to fish friday and sat. And have never been to dale before. Looking forward to it but i know dale is a hard lake to fish without knowing the lake. Thanx in advance jc
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Fished Fri and Sat and have to say there is no lake I would rather fish in the month of Nov. We had five big brown fish on Fri. and on Sat we had to move with them but had 8 big smallies. That's with losing time running back to truck and changing clothes (fell in!!!!! had to get naked and put on rainsuit) Holly creek to state park was a cold ride. All big fish but one were on jig or craw. 20 to 35 on Fri. 25 to 8 on Sat. Caught some small fish as well. The big fish we had were in creeks from mouth to mid way. Can't wait to go back. Hope Float n Fly season comes in late, it's fun but nothing like the hits you get with the jig.
Later
big wormy
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Glad to hear they're on the jig bite wormy....I'm gonna head down there either this weekend or next and give em a whirl....what color jig were you catching them on....I know when the water gets cold the crawdad pinchers turn really blue but not sure about this time of year
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Well my trip to Dale has been postponed one day by the weather. Will be down there Thursday instead.
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Heading down to Dale this Saturday....Gonna give the jig bite a try but was wondering if there is anywhere on the KY side that sells bass fishing minnows (shad, suckers, chubs, fantails)....I'll be putting in at the state park if that helps any
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Strange Bait right there in Burkesville is where I usually get my live bait. Shiners at least.
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Do they have the big shiners? Also how much are they?
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Good stuff to hear. How much longer does the good jig bite last. I'm not a big fan of the FnF but I will use it. I just like the jig and pig better.
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
I will be there friday and sat. Hope that pattern holds. Thanx for the report later jc
Re: Dale Hollow is doing good.
Any report on water color around the state park?
