Re: Guist Creek Lake
I've seen a 12-pounder caught out of there. The guys at the marina have told me they think there are bigger ones in there. They should know, but then again, they want people to fish there, too. I tend to believe it, though.
I have caught and released several that weighted around 12# on a boga. Have heard of a 14# caught there from a reliable source.

Awesome! Does anyone know how much the John boats are at the marina?

Re: Guist Creek Lake
I've caught a couple of big cats, 5-7 pounds, while bass fishing. Here is the number for the marina if you want to call and check on rental fees:
502-647-5359.

Re: Guist Creek Lake
The last time I rented a John boat at Guist, it was about $45 for the day. I think they have off season rates that are lower this time of the year.

Re: Guist Creek Lake
I fish there quite a bit for LM. I have better succes from the bank usually. We caught several 5's two a bit bigger and allot of 2and 3 pounders throughout the year. I haven't been since October due to hunting season. Drop shop tends to produce the most..
