Re: What Obama and 2012 brings......
ot sure whateveryone else's definition of rich is, but for me it's the fact that I have clean clothes on my back...winter clothes, summer clothes, a warm house, zero credit card debt, no auto payments, there's plenty in the refrigerator...and...as of "right now" I'm still employed and above everything else I'm fairly healthy in that I can see, walk, hear, speak, etc...(as of right now, lol).
Unfortunately the life you describe is being taken away from many of us through a slow process of the country's wealth gravitating to the folks who measure themselves by how much money they have... I believe the number of people in this country who have acquired millionaire status in the last few years has grown substantially, unfortunately a lot of that growth hasn't come from investing in this country and the folks who live and work here... It seems a lot of it has come from reducing the livelihood of a lot of people who work for their beans... Some of the fellas here seem to always be whining about the rich paying too much in taxes, I wonder who will pay the tax to support our country when the only folks that are left are the super rich and the rest who are living below the poverty line... I am hoping the USA can find a way to remain being a great place to live and raise a family instead of becoming a great place for the few to become rich at the expense of the rest.
Re: What Obama and 2012 brings......
sorry, if the way I said what I did about the rich keeping all their money together, made a couple on here feel like they were being talked about, when I spoke of the rich. like Michael Jackson marrying Elvis Presleys daughter for example. when I said the rich take care of their own, I was talking of the rich like Mr. Obama, George Soros, warren buffet, George Bush. there's no need to fill the page with names. you get my point. and they take care of each other by having puppets in washington, to pass the laws that make them richer. and they new before the election, that whoever got elected. would have to pass the stimulus " bail out " package. and if you own your home, auto, no debt this does not in no way put you in the class with the rich I was speaking of. when I think of rich people, I see them that have more money than they alone with all their offspring could ever spend, and they have a need to hoard up more. even if they get it by, laws their puppets in washington pass. that take away from those that have so little.

Since the top 1 % pays nearly 40% of all taxes, and the top 10% pay 70% of all taxes, I think we will be JUST fine.

Page 3.....
It is SAD that you continue to think the deal is to TAX, TAX, TAX. How about we WORK, WORK, WORK, and obtain the American Dream. There are still 10 shitloads of opportunities for folks that want to work HARD for it.
I have an Indian friend who works 60 hrs a week as an IT developer and takes every single PENNY and puts it into the 3 subway sandwich places HE PURCHASED...he's living the American dream. He's 100k in debt, PAYS his BILLS, and has nearly 20 employees.
He came here with a SKILL someone was WILLING to pay for.......
He works 60 hrs at Work and then another 50 hrs at his shops. WORKS HIS ASS OFF, but in 20 years he will be set for life.
GET OFF YOUR ASS, and invest in something, instead of whining about how the American Dream is out of your grasp.
