Isn't it odd that John McCain said peeing on those dead enemies "makes him feel so sad." Apparently it didn't make him sad that our murdered soldiers were hanging from a bridge.
Of course it made him sad that our murdered soldiers were hanging from a bridge!
It made him sad to see these Marines pissing on corpses because they turned a job well done into dishonorable and irresponsible conduct that is a black eye for the American military.
By all means kill the enemy and let God sort them out, but I just don't believe we have to ditch our code of moral conduct and become heathens like they are to do it. We don't behead people on TV like they do. We don't drag dead bodies of our enemies in the streets like they do. We don't hang people from bridges. We don't kill civilians in terrorist attacks like they do. We are better human beings than that.
Re: Maybe their heads were on fire?
This never should have been filmed. Whats happens in war stays in war and should not be broadcast to the world. Now the ones they urined on were terrorists? and they were dead? hmmmm so the only problem is people found out about it. It probably did alot for the soldiers moral at the time. Maybe it is something men do to celebrate. Heck my X use to pee in the snow and write his name when he was drunk. So it could be a man thing.
Re: Maybe their heads were on fire?
Hahaha yes as I look back I have had an occasion or two of peeing on things while out having a good time. Fires, roadways, snow and cars. Now if a woman could do this I would be impressed!!:p
I just watched the news clip of Hillary saying how bad this video was. I'm sorry people but I don't care if our men and women fighting for our country do stuff like this . To me....when we sit in our lazy boys, heated house, kiss our loved ones everyday, eat hot meals, enjoy cold drinks, watch basketball, not concerned with who is shooting at us, car bombs or longing to see our loved ones we don't have a right to judge their actions. I know most people disagree but it's war. Not a video game, not a 9-5 job, not a war to be fought from Washington. These things happen all the time and now that it has been captured on video it's like people think it only happened once and can be stopped.
Could it hurt relations with other nations?? Possibly but they will get over it like we have people here who were not fighting a war that have to get passed the spineless attacks of 911 and the deaths caused by those losers. So like I mentioned I'm all for payback and in my mind I say kill them, pee, crap, burn behead or toss them in a ditch. I could care less. Until I live in the shoes of a soldier I won't judge them. To each his own.

I won't judge them either...I try not to judge anyone but every now and then it's easier said than done.
I still think urinating on the deceased is wrong. Sure the youngin's in the film need to be talked to, especially now since it's made world news...but I don't think they need to be court martialed or sent to prison. War is ugly, bad things happen.
There was a part of this that some movie producer should grab ahold of and use in his next film. Apparently one of the soldiers on film was caught saying: "Have a nice day buddy!" as he relieved himself.

I realize we all view things based on what we have learned or experienced so I'm cool with anyone's opinion on this. I agree with kygorski at what point in history did we decide to live up to this standard during war? When our soldiers we raping and killing in Vietnam? Stealing goods in Germany? Taking property from Japanese Americans in WWII? Dropping atom bombs on men, women, kids, babies and old retired folks in Japan?? Or is it that since these dead people are Muslim that we have to be careful??? Btw I only bring that stuff up as things that have happened during war time not as I disapprove or approve. Just that what these young men did seem so minor that it makes me sick to see anything being made of it.
Re: Maybe their heads were on fire?
What can we expect, as I drive up and down our roadways i constantly see decals in the windows of vehicle that show a little boy urinating on Ford emblems,Chevy emblems,Usama Bin Laden, etc. We all see this and laugh, heck my 11 yr old still cracks up when he sees them. Point being as a nation we are neglecting our obligation to teach children right from wrong. Now, I can't say that I would pee on my dead enemy, but as said before, I'm not judging them. Heck, I am grateful for what they are doing over there and I'll let them live with their own consciences. After someone is killed, the body is just an empty shell that a soal used to inhabit, whether the soal be good or evil it no longer is in the body. The media blows these things out of proportion, I've heard WWII stories about our soldiers cutting ears off of the Japs from people who were there, but then the media didn't care about piddly things like that, the media, the people, the government worried more about winnung the war than whether we were respectful to the feelings of our enemy
Re: Maybe their heads were on fire?
They only reason they pissed on them was because they couldn't kill them again. If someone tried to kill you, you would understand!
How soon people forget about some of our soldiers being killed and hung from a bridge in Iraq. Isn't it odd that John McCain said peeing on those dead enemies "makes him feel so sad." Apparently it didn't make him sad that our murdered soldiers were hanging from a bridge.
Just send the troops who were having a peeing contest safely home and forget them giving those stinking corpses a much needed shower.
I am sure John McCain was extremely upset at seeing our soldiers being treated this way. I am also sure that John McCain knows more about war and how to conduct yourself in war than any of us on fishin.com. The guy was a freakin P.O.W.! If anybody knows how it feels it would be home. Say what you want about him, but when it comes to war I will believe McCain!

I'm sorry bug, but I disagree with you here..........
Any AMERICAN who spends 5 years in the Hanoi Hilton EARNS the right to say whatever the HELL he wants to......I think he knows a little about military and military conduct.

Re: Maybe their heads were on fire?
I respect everyone else's opinion, but I don't have the slightest problem with those Marines whizzing on dead Al Queda. I don't care if they whiz on them when they're alive either. Our Marines are bad asses and they can pee where ever they want far as I'm concerned.

Tim, you and I SURE think the same about stuff. Before I read this, I posted something very similar......

I agree with you, I don't want to see anything made of it either, it's war, bad things happen,...unfortunately there probably will be something made out of it since ALL the world knows about it.
(This ain't geared towards you Don)...but as for McCain...who can say anything bad about McCain? I'll tell you what's sad...what's sad is the man lives, eats, breathes, prays and sleeps anything and everything about America. How the citizens of this country could vote for that bozo we have in office NOW tells me EXACTLY how bad of a shape this country is in! If we have a voting public that would turn down McCain and vote for Bozo instead...what we have in my opinion is a majority of voters in this country who are disrespectful idiots.
