I am actually a claims adjuster for Progressive and I couldn't agree more with the previous post that advises you to familiarize yourself with your policy and know what you're buying. There are specific policies with specific deductibles, additional add on coverages or endorsements for fishing equipment etc.

Not because I work there, but from what I know about insurance in general I can tell you that Progressive offers some of the broadest coverages for the best prices. I personally have them and no I don't get discounts

The only other thing I would tell you is that Progressive adjusters are very well trained and they look for ways to afford coverage if you have a loss.
Read the policy and go with Progressive. If I was going to spend 100 dollars or more for anything you can bet I am going to know what I bought. The same should be considered for an auto or boat insurance policy.
I'll second that on Bob Luellen. Progressive does have salvage clean up as I've had it on my policies with them. Bob has an insurance forum on bass boat cetnral = bbcboards.net Get in touch with him & he'll tell you every little aspect about insurance & more than likely will get you more coverage for less money. He's a fisherman just like us & knows his stuff.

I agree 100%. I am an independent insurance agent with more than 20 companies available, and guess who gets my bass boat insurance? Progressive, because it's the best there is, both coverage wise and price wise for bass boats.
Do not go Progressive, they are the worst to deal with.

I have had no problems with progressive.
everybody has their own experiences with companies, so a few people are going to have bad experiences with progressive. its just the way it goes. if you have your insurance through progressive, they are usually extremely easy to deal with, especially if you have your own agent. people may have problems getting claims from progressive when they are not insured there, but you get that with every company.
Bob's back as a sponsor of the new Sponsor Forum with a short video that is worth watching. There is a big difference between agreed value and cash value. Many policies are cash value. Bob does agreed value.
