Elite 8, Final Four and with the Favotite to win it all this year, now that's a failure. What did Calipari do to get any banners taken down? If you know this, then pass it along to the NCAA because Cal received letters from the NCAA clearly stating he had done nothing wrong. Can you say Marcus Camby and Derrick Rose?
Now you are changing your tune Elwood. First you said "Cal is expected to hang a banner that says NCAA Champs, each and every year."
But when it is pointed out to you, that under those standards he has failed, you suddenly are okay with the past two seasons. Now I think anyone would be happy with an Elite Eight and Final Four in the first two seasons, but that is not what you originally said.
So which is it? Are you happy with cal so far, or has he been a failure?
Also did they, or did they not take down a banner at Memphis and a banner at UMass? I never said he did anything wrong, just saying he has a habit of banners disappearing.
Can you say 2 Final 4's vacated and tons of wins? Why did Calipari pay back his bonus at Memphis from making the championship? Because he knew if he kept it he would be f$#%ed. You are something else.
So you obviously have the inside scoop that The University of Kentucky did not have. Please enlighten us all with your wisdom Obe Wan Kanobe. Do you think for one second that Kentucky would have hired Calipari if he had ANY issues relating to the NCAA regarding rules violations? Calipari was given a clean bill of health, in writing might I add, stating that he did nothing wrong at UMASS or Memphis. After the Eddie Sutton Era of the FedEx envelope scandal and getting put on probation and Kentucky would hire a coach that has issues with the NCAA. Kentucky is not Indiana for anywhere close to Indiana. Maybe he gave the money back to Memphis because an illegal player helped him obtain that bonus and he felt it was not deserved? Maybe he has character, an obvious lacking trait in Pitino, that takes and keeps $6 Million last year including a "Loyalty Bonus" after getting bounced by a Double Digit Seeded Morehead State team. It sure wasn't a "Performance Bonus" because if it was then Louisville would be "Syphering" some of that money back from him. There is no way that Kentucky hires Calipari if he had any past issues with the NCAA.

Calipari has no class - he is the biggest slime ball in all of sports. Kentucky was desperate because they saw Louisville making consecutive elite 8s while they were at home playing in the NIT. You are a fool.

I said Cal is expected to hang a banner that says NCAA Champs, each and every year. "Expected to" is pressure that is put on Calipari each and every year. "Expected to" win each and every game. Those are the expectations and that is the pressure that Calipari is put under every year. Do I "expect" Calipari to win every game and hang banners every year, ABSOLUTELY. Has he met those expectations, NO. Am I un happy with Calipari, Not in the least because to go from the NIT to the Elite8 to the Final 4 is on the right track to these expectations. The next step happens this year and the snowball will continue to roll downhill collecting more snow. But let Calipari pay for abortions and have the off the court antics like another coach we know, then get bounced out of the NCAA in the first round 2 years in a row by teams they should have beaten and see what happens. Calipari knows what he is expected to do and the results that he must produce and that is pressure. As far as banners being taken down, here we are on the 20th year of the Fab Five. The Fab Five changed the game of Basketball as we know it FOREVER. Chris Webber took over $200,000 from an agent while he was in college. His violations were so bad that Chris Webber's name was stricken from the record books so much that he is not listed anywhere on Michigan official records as ever playing at Michigan. Banners were taken down but it was shown that Steve Fisher NEVER had any knowledge of this and therefore he was not punished.

Still waiting on that PROOF that Calipari cheated at either school OBE. So Calipari has no class and he is the biggest slimeball in all of sports. If this is true then "Having an affair, paying for an abortion and the rest of the Karen Sypher Scandal" makes Pitino the Pope. Again, I have listed FACTS and you have listed wild stories with NO FACTS from the NCAA to backup any proof of NCAA cheating by Calipari.

You are too ignorant to even bother with, you aren't worth my time.
And I thought political discussions got testy.
You boys need to chill with the name calling...maybe go fishing and consider if sports actually matter enough to sling personal insults over.
You're ignorant...well you're stupid...well you're a fool...blah blah. Come on now, wield the written word like a rapier, not a claw hammer. It has a lot more effect that way.
Kentucky AND Indiana college basketball is exceptional, end of story.
Go WKU! All the way to the final 4. UK in the first round? No problem, they ain't got nothing, WKU'll beat em like a tied up goat.
Y'all are arguing about the wrong thing, college football is what really matters. Roll Tide and War Eagle!
Oh, and it's painful to say it, but a big ole Gator chomp to you Don.

Again, AS USUAL, post thing that have no merit and you can't show any proof. This continues to be a constant pattern. Then when you know I won't back down and you are backed into a corner with no other choice except prove it or shut up, you come up with I am too ignorant and not worth your time. Seems that I and another here has said the same comment about our discussions, GAME SET MATCH!!! Now go make some Aluminum Foil

I figured you would keep running after telling lies that you cant support with FACTS. Talk about 2 peas in a pod.

This is a statement I could get behind if the champion was decided on the field instead of a popularity contest. I know it is not the right thing to say in Kentucky, but I much prefer football to basketball (please don't let lightning strike me).
