I am a basketball fan that roots for ALL teams in KY and a few from near-by. :-) As long as local teams are in it, the entire reigon gets a lot of attention. I'll cheer for them all until they play one another and then one will get more cheering than the other.
Hate to break it to you, but I'll be pulling for UK come game time this week:-)
Plain and simple.......all the one and done kids that Cal gets are recruited just as hard by other elite programs as well, Duke, UNC Kansas etc. Don't see what the fuss is about. Should Cal be turning these kids down if they want to come to UK. Rediculous to even talk about. If they want to come to UK than I welcome them with open arms. The name Kentucky recruits itself but with the help of Cal it just makes it that much better.

I would love to know how many pieces of mail and phone calls Anthony Davis and MKG got from all the schools. On another thread, an IU fan said he was glad Indiana did not recruit the one and done kids. I said just because they didn't sign with IU doesn't mean they were not recruited. Who knows the one and done kids may stay a couple of years. Lamb, Jones and Teague are not lottery picks so they may return. MKG says he wants his degree so who knows. Love to have all 3 back. Bottom line is EVERY big time program in College Basketball is recruiting the best high school kids. Cal just happens to get the best of the best and people can't stand it
Exactly right.....people also mention that we're losing focus on the student athlete with all of the one and done players. That may be so but programs play to win if I'm not mistaken and coaches get fired if they're not winning. So in order to keep your job you go out and recruit the best players that give you the best opportunity to win. Not sure what's so wrong with that. And until the NBA changes their rules that's how it's always going to be....like it or not.

Thats because Cal has huge payroll. All of the teams cheat Cal just knows how to not get caught.
