I'm a little late with info but this place is in franklin, just min. from BG, good boat and/or bank access. For more information follow this link: http://fw.ky.gov/pdf/westforkdrakes.pdf
It is not the best for catfish and I wouldn't say it has the best bank access either. As little as four days ago it has not been mowed and the weeds at the old ramp (my preferred ramp) were very tall. Anything over on the new ramp side will not allow you to fish decently deep water without fishing right under the bridge. Everything else is 3 feet deep tops.
Plus it gets beat to death with pressure.

Three Springs isn't a very good spot is you ask me, the only catfish there are the one that swim over from the KOA when it floods. I would go to Barren River or Barren Lake, Drakes Creek, or Shanty Hallow. If you are shore fishing I would go to the River or Drakes Creek. There is access behind the Hobson House historic house on the green way. Also out Barren River Rd at Lonnie White park is a good spot, but be careful if you fish off the rocks, that's the current side and its normally 20ft deep.
