Re: North American Fishing Club
I have been a Life Member since early '90's. I have not always registered to test products the last few years. Like most of you I got stuff at the wrong time of year or something I would never use. And yes, some of it was crappy. The only "big ticket" item I got but had to return unless I wanted to purchase was a mount for my trolling motor that was a remote control unit. As for items they send me out of the blue which I do not ask for, I keep it or send it back. And if I keep it I do not pay for it because I did not ask for it. That usually puts a stop to the "slamming".
Re: North American Fishing Club
I joined twice. The first time when I started fishing; I thought it may be cool to test products. They were junk and they didn't follow-up with any other things once I submitted my reviews.
I enjoy the magazine; they do come kind of intermittently. I get about 8 magazines a year. The thing I like about the magazines is they cover more than bass fishing. I joined again when they offered me a good deal and I quit getting bass master magazine.
I also enjoyed the books they sent (unsolicited). I would read through them and send them back. They quit sending them to you if you always send them back.
If you just get it for the magazine; I think it is a good deal. Articles are good and cover several species of fish.
