Yes it's true from what I heard from IDNR. An older lady and her younger daughter caught the bass in one of the smaller pits. These pits don't get the fishing pressure that the big three pits do. These two have been fishing the pits at Bluegrass a lot this summer from what I heard.
And they returned the fish back to the water after they caught it so it can reproduce and live a bit longer. They are good stewards of the Environment. Wish we have a lot more people like them.
The parking lot at Bluegrass has about 6 or 7 boat trailers this morning. I don't think that they will be there after it gets hot. I drove over earlier to check on the area to see how many boats were in the parking lots. It was already over 80 deg F by the time I got over there. It's going to be another HOT day this Sunday.
So Greg, was it 11.6

Yes that's what I was told. They put it back too after taking a picture of it. I was glad to hear that.
I talked to my IDNR friend and he's the one that told me the story. He didn't want to disclose the exact lake that the fish was caught out of as he promised not to tell the location. The daughter told him and she was not suppose to tell. LOL She told Boyd while her mom was using the Porta Pottie and out of ear shot. They fish out there a lot from what I heard.
Would LOVE to see that picture!
