Do you guys mind if I ask where this place is ?
My father loves to catch sauger, so I'd like to take him out pretty soon.
I haven't been down that way in a couple of years at least. I assume you guys are fishing from a boat from the posts. I don't know where this shell bed is though. Is it on the Ky side of the river ?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
James

On the Ind.side, you can fish from both shore and by boat. But your better off not taking your boat to the upper dam without someone who knows the area. Take 65 north accross the bridge to exit 0. Take a left at the light, then the next left then the next left and then a right at the 4 way. straight down that road you will run into it. Good luck Chuck

The lower gauge is now 11.8 and falling. On the web site, the level is reported at 10.9ft. That's too skinny for me to attempt to boat up to the upper dam and fish in front of the museum.
Please head riverrat12's warning about not boating up there without knowing exactly where the small channel is located.
I've got a heavy 18 ft Stratos fiberglass boat. I might think differently if I was in an aluminum boat, but it's still a risk at these low levels.
Others know the "path" a whole lot better than I so that's why I get the pucker factor when the water is at it's current level.
