The same reason you dont see them using shimano. Shim/loomis doesnt hand their products to them and pay em to use em. They let their quality stand for itself and still have the clientele to sell their product without a pro saying this is what i use. Am i saying they make the absolute best products, no, but theyre of a higher quality than bps products

I bought 2 Boyd Duckett's cranking sticks a 7' M for my shallow to medium cranks and a 7'11 for deeper running cranks they came with a 20 year warranty I've only been out one this year so far but I absolutely love how lite and sensitive they are

We will just have to agree to disagree i guess.i think its marketing 101.i gotta believe clunn knows what he is talking bout.he didnt run any rod down i think he mentioned marketing and overpriced.as far as anglers fianances i dont know as nobody outside industry probaly does but i think his quote was kvd and select few getting rich,others had money to begin with,others couldnt buy a boat if they had too.

Rick clunn has his name inked all over some wright and mcgill rods. Of course hes not going to promote another company

I can agree with that. Everybody has a different feel and certain rods and reels will feel better to each of us. For what its worth i think the bps cranking rods are well worth the money. I have a 7'11 cumara and if i had it to do over would have gone with a bps and saved money. Crankbait fishing doesnt require as much feel and the soft tip to keep fish hooked up is really the only important thing

is an issue Shimano Clarus will take care of that problem. Denali Jadewood would be another good alternative too. Myself I use an Okuma EVX series from Tacklewarehouse.com. Good, but very lightweight 7ft. medium fiberglass rod that works well both shallow & deep for me. Bought it last year for $79.00 I think. Comes with a rod sleeve. I have been impressed with this rod.
