I call it a faucet and let it go at that. If a certain person has smeared toothpaste on it I add a couple of words while I'm cleaning.

I thought #3 was interesting, do you pronounce "Bowie" (as in "Bowie knife") as "bow-ee" or "boo-ee?" It shows the people in Texas pronouncing it boo-ee (the right way, IMO), and another area on the Eastern Shore area of Maryland also, which is because there's a city there called Bowie (and a racetrack) which is pronounced that way.

I would have liked to have seen them ask about the word "water." You can really pin down where on the East Coast someone is from by how they pronounce that. I think that from me it sounds more like "wudder" (I'm from Delaware). But on some of those words (and you can call me a snob for this if you want) they're just seeing how many people mispronounce the word. Like, do you say it as "especially" or "expecially?"

I say...... "Boo-ee" and I say "especially".How many of you say "ask" instead of "ax"? Like when you "ask" for permission. I say ask.

HERE'S A FEW FROM THIS AREA, TOMATO IS Mater. Potato is Tater, for is fur. Push is poosh, and I have heard a lot of older folks call walnuts, wornets. I guess it don't matter as long as we know what everyone is talking about.
