8/8 Cumberland fishing report
Yesterday was a fantastic day to fish the Cumberland. We put in at Helm's landing and fished down to Winfreys landing. From 8-1pm under good cloud cover we caught about 30 trout. Of that, a few small brook trout, one 16 inch brown and another nice brown that got off near the boat. The rest were rainbows. Maybe half of which were between 12-16 inch range. Water was clear and at a nice level at 3000cfs. As the sun came out and the water from the dam went up to 7000 Cfs, the bite slowed and hunger got the best of us and we called it a day. We used silver spinners, orange and purple rapalas, and a few on rebel brown crawfish crankbait.
