Well, just because you go to Murray doesn't mean you know how to fish Kentucky or Barkley Lake! I've grown up about two miles from Ky Dam and have fished those two lakes since I was five years old! The lakes have been my playground for the past twenty years and will continue to be until I can't hold a fishing rod anymore! I fish, hunt, and party on those lakes year-round and is my one and only home. This living in Louisville is for school ONLY and I will be back home after receiving my Masters in Civil Engineering come May. With my history on Ky Lake, I can easily catch fish everytime I go out and could easily do guided trips - it's when you narrow the species down to a specific kind that I might come up empty handed (by that I mean you'd be better off trying to catch white bass right now than you would largemouth!!!).
Now as far as the hunting goes on the lakes, it's always right time/right place out there! And for the partying, I always have an AWESOME time ;)
By the way, when did you visit the AGR house for a party? I was a pledge when some Western AGRs came down for a party...gave them the finger when they left after tearing up the front yard doing donuts...they're lucky they didn't get a brick through their back window because that's the usual punishment!
Those Western AGRs never were the smartest chapter...I mean seriously, you gotta be careful with your goat!
Dang, I wasn't going to get into this but I ran into the EKU bunch in Backwaters tonight. They started talking smack about Buzzking stealing their fishing spot at Barren...I guess he musta had a basket tied up or something.....Next thing I know they each had one of those 12ft Wally Marshall Crappie rigs on the counter and some 4 oz cannonballs sinkers. One was buying waders and 1/16oz white rooster tails. Beat anything I ever saw. Kyle you better get on this quick....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heck no these are a fine bunch of young men. I wish them, UK, and UofL good luck. As a matter of fact any Ky team that's going. Heck if they have one like that in Ky, we'll tailgate.
I will offer something for the Ky team with the largest weight. Yes it will be F-n-F jigs.
Anyone else want to put something up for these guys? Let's support them.

It's easier to let the cat out of the bag than put it back in
You talk about fishing for white bass. I could use some lessons on how to target whites. I know my last post talked about our lack of friendship and persona, well now is a great time to fix that.
We can even take my boat if you would like. I would love to learn to target the whites, plus my wife's 82 year old uncle wants some scaley fish to eat, and I really don't want to take him LM or SM bass. He has catfish, but doesn't like them as much because they are too oily.
Would you be interested in teaching a guy to target white bass?
It will be a couple of weeks before I could go. If you are still in Louisville, you could meet me here, it's on the way to the lake. I'm right at 2 hours from the Gene Snyder, if you drive the speed limit, otherwise you can get here more quickly. We could ride from here in my truck with my boat. I might need some instructions on what baits to bring, and I'm sure I would enjoy it.
Let me know...
BTW, no alcohol on the boat...LOL... sorry!!!
Tight lines and God Bless
Danny
Yea, Mr. Crager was on my spot as well...But there was a boat on every spot I pulled up to that day, KBF took out right after us. But talk about some tailgatin', this year we had the Kentucky state championship, kind of through it together. But next year hopefully we can get something settled early on and make this thing BIG. KBF did our weigh in, which was pretty nice, since we didn't have to worry about any of the equipment, just showed up and fished. But that would be a perfect time for you guys to come out and tailgate, heck we could get some cheerleaders and make it real fun!
EKU must have gotten the same inside information for the AR river as I did, except I heard 2 oz cannonballs, and 1/8 pink rooster tails. Definately the 12' Wally combo.
And FNF jigs huh? That is super nice of you Mr. Elkins, and I will hold you up to that if we come out on top. I am interested in this FNF'n deal, never done it before.
One more week...

Shoot, all you really need are some silver or white spoons and some white curly tails and you're in business! Most times I tie on a white curly tail and a spoon about 2ft below it. This way, I can cast a really long way into the school and can also catch them two at a time! The action gets so fast that you can't take the fish off of the hook quick enough! It's a blast!
P.S. - I don't drink when I'm serious about my fishin' !!! I do my drinkin' on the pontoon boat with all the girls! :)
yea apparently I was fishing everybodies spot, funny thing is I didn't move all day, found it all by my lonesome, whip some butt there, then everybody claims that as there spot....kinda funny. I guess the next time I beat all of them I will have to do it from a mud puddle in the parking lot, they would probably claim that too. ;)
Well I'll submit the one comment on EKU's behalf. I think I just say "Your Done!!!", before you even get in your truck to go to Arkansas. End of statement no further discussion...
Are you talking........ :)

Yea I think that U of L has no room to talk I beat both of your teams by myself literally, just me. And so did Drew a little too much guitar time I guess.
