Dave said he was biased but that he was not in the tackle sales business. Watch the board for a while and you will see many people, myself included, that give "sales pitches" for products they like.

Dave,
Well I guess I'm on the right track, it just seemed the 3/0 EWG was a little much for the tube. It seemed to push through right at the start of the skirt. I wasn't aware of the larger sized HSB tubes. I will be looking for them when the Cabin opens up. Thanks again. Do you fish your tubes on a tube jig head with the weight inside the tube, and what advantages/disadvantages does rigging like that have over a normal texas rig?
***God Bless***
Many of his other baits are exact copies or knockoffs of other baits. Kind of like intellectual property theft.
Perhaps I will begin to follow some fishing guides around, marking their spots on lakes, then sell them online or just at ramps for a very reasonable price.
LMAO
I wonder who all they sponsor?
Josh
I will fish them both ways...with a jig head in the tube and Texas rigged. I find normally the Texas rig works fine but there are times when the fish want that tube right along the bottom so I will use the tube jig head at that time. Also, here is a trick you might try if you have not tried it...use a pro series Slider Head on the tube. The triangle shaped head will give the tube more action on the fall..fish it with the wieght on the outside of the tube and texpose the hook.

Venom jig head flat head 1/16 oz yum 2.5 tube craw same as live bait fished slow.
Although it makes it less bouyant, I like salt IMPREGNATED, not salt sprinkled on it. Thats just what I have confidence in.

Hey Guys,
Thanks much for all the opinions. Dave no problem and yes I will hook up with you once I get into production. Good Luck to everyone on teh water and be safe.
Marty
Marty I have used HSB tubes and they are nice baits. They are a bit too hard but I love the fact that they cook in the scent. When I take everything out of my boat for the year and put it in the basement my wife walks in the front door and asks what is that God awful smell. I had to put them in a trash bag and tape them up in a cardboard box to keep the smell down.
They are a lot cheaper than any other bait and you can buy in bulk. They also make a very good baby brush hound, (same as baby brush hog) spinnerbait, senko and jig.
Like Dave said there customer service is not great but they do make a great bait.
If you make a bait as good or better and want to sell them you could win me over with better customer service. Not a knock on anyone or trying to give anyone a free advertisement, but that is just my H.O. from a customer standpoint.
Good luck and let us know if you go into business. Ryan
Just a tip, the softness of the plastic is controled by the manufacturer of the plastisol, but there are additives to make it harder. I used to buy mine from Southern Plastics in Eufala Alabama and they made a really nice, soft plastic. I don't know how small an amount they will sell, I bought mine in 55 gallon drums.
Steve
Come follow me around...I am looking forward to it.
Yes, they do sponsor me...I have never made any secret about that. But if you read my fishing reports you will see that not only are their lures mentioned there but also lures made by Zoom, Berkley and other soft lure companies that do not sponsor me. I use what it takes to catch fish...sponsors or not.
