Re: Founder of Weather Channel: Global Warming Hype = $4/gallon Gas
Yes. Yes indeed.
Calling something another poster said "amusing", out of touch with reality or immature, is on the same level as asking another poster if he beat his wife.
Off to kids' camp. Have a great week.

Uh JCB, sort of familiar with asbestos, working with a lot of cryogenics, it was the insulation that was available and proven at the time. My dealings with it were of an airborne nature, and at the time the dangers were not known, there is a danger of air borne asbestos, no one can say no to that with out being completly bonkers. You probably have seen acetylene cylindars. When repairing or destroying them, there is a well in each cylindar packed with asbestos in most of the older cylindars, this ne3eded to be removed,so the well was blown out with compressed N2, and either replaced with new packing, or just removed for scraping these containers. There are not that many folks whoworked with the making of these containers, or with the repair, and filling of them. What we did was a standard safe[at the time] practise, that unfortunately was found out much later to maybe cause harm to the individuals involved, and workers near by. The company did not knowingly put us in danger, and new methods were put into place. I may never get any lung problems from that or I may, but asbestos is not an imagined threat to workman, it is real.
