Re: Night fishing C Land now??
Oddly enough when Elnut and I went they were up on a flat in about 5-6 feet of water where there has been no water until we got some rain. Normally in the shallows they are really easy to catch because they can’t really go anywhere, but have not seen them that shallow yet. Normally when considered shallow they are in the back of a cove that drops down to 15 feet or more really quick. We did not try throwing spoons because of all the grass in the water was grown up. Even the swim bait with hook on top was sticking the grass so I would imagine the treble hook would have stuck darn near every cast.
Just a strange day for stripers in my opinion, but that is how it goes sometimes I guess. I am no professional by any means, just a guy trying to catch stripers for fun and love catching them on the good days they bite.

He may not be a "Professional" but he is about as close as it gets from what I saw and learned. If they could have been caught that day we would have caught them. Even the guys draggin shiners around were there all day and only had 2 small fish but they said they had their limits early the previous 2 days, so tough all over.

Re: Night fishing C Land now??
Didn't mean to undermine anyone.. Just throwing the spoons out as a suggestion if they are rolling over open water. With the grass, I agree they wouldn't have worked..
Re: Night fishing C Land now??
No offense taken just letting you know why we did not try them.
