Re: The weeks rain total
Yup, and deservedly so. I've had season tickets since '03, and you hardly ever see home games rained out.
I'm looking at the Doppler, and it looks like the rain is almost gone. Call me a hypocrite, but I'm going to the game! Go Bats!
I got talked out of that REAL quick! She always has had more sense than me :)

Re: The weeks rain total
I happened to catch a little on the local news about the weather. They said El Nino had nothing to do with this, and El Nino is still forming.
What they said is causing this is that an upper level lower has set up over the Great Lakes, and has pushed the jet stream way south. As a result cold fronts are making it as far south as TN when normally we have a high pressure system set up over the Gulf that keeps the jet stream up north, that leaves us protected from the cold fronts.
BTW, they said we should be very hopefull that this system breaks downs before the winter sets in...LOL
Well, after today, here in Western KY, the forecast is for hot, and very humid weather. Storms today, then into the 90's and upper 90's, with "Steamy" humidity for the rest of the week.
Summer is back here boys, if the forecast holds that is.

Re: The weeks rain total
It's all my fault. I'm in Arkansas now visitng my daughter and the grandkids. I was also here in Arkansas in '97 when the rains flooded Louisville. I'll be back home Saturday in time for the 90 degree temps!!!
Y'all stay dry till I get back home.

Tyme your neck of the woods got hammered. Harned on Wave 3 was just showing rain totals and your area got close to 8 inches. If it didn't rain here for a month I wouldn't say a word.
