Ryan,
not sure if you were happy or sad? Lol!
Happy, always lol
Prefer my aquariums. Wife's got a miniature Snauzer, but not really sure if it counts as a dog.
I have three dogs, a yellow lab, a brittany and a beagle. we also have a cat and a turtle. I like the turle best, he never has to be let out and he doesn't bother you when you are busy LOL!
Dog man here Don, border collie. And now that I have horses I'm really enjoying them more and more. Never been a cat fan but love all animals. Chuck
my personal prefrence is dogs. i have three , two pit bulls and a boston terrier. been around dogs my whole life and have been criticised over owning the pits but guys let me tell ya. THEY ARE NOT MEAN UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO BE !! any dog can be mean. my dogs have never shown any negative aggression and have been nutured since pups. the boston however is mean as a rattlesnake LOL. i love my dogs and they are like family and all around the same age 6-7 years. the dogs absolutely love my son he rides them around the house and they act like they are all brothers. we also have two cats that are pretty cool to. one of them will fetch. you can throw the little stuffed mouse down the hall and he will bring it back. only problem with the two cats is that they eat too much and i hate the litter box. :)
I too am for dogs. I have a boston terrier as well. My boston is extremely hyper , I figured she would settle down , but shes 4 now , and still goes mach 3...
Man putting your pet down is TOUGH! Had to do that 4 years ago and I hope to never do that again but with being a pet owner it's always possible.
Just recently this pass summer had to put my beagle down. He was born on the 4th of July and his name was rocket. He was a great dog and he loved to hunt rabbits. The sad thing is that he was put to sleep on July 3 a day just before his sixteen birthday. I was fishing down at Dale Hollow and the kennel that he was staying at called me and said he had some sort of storke over night. The only good thing about the whole situation was that my uncle took care of everything and I did not personally have to do the deed (taking him to the vet and burying him) . He lived a good life and did not show any signs of suffering up to the day of his stroke. Beagles are great pets, but it will be a while or I may never own another dog.

That's toughest part right there, putting a dog down. Doesn't matter how old or young they are either. We had to put a miniature dachshund to sleep about five or six years ago. She was young too, like four years old I think. She had back problems and even though surgery "might" have helped we didn't feel it was a very good quality of life for her...but my wife and I were right there with her till the end, my wife held the dog as the needle was being injected...yep, it's tough stuff indeed. Buy like my wife says, a dog is loyal till the end and we should be the same way to the animal in return.

Day 983 of my captivity...
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. ********.
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously an imbecile.
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.
For now................
:D haha that whats makes me a cat lover forever. too funny. thanks for posting this Chubs, it kills me. LOL:D
