Re: Are Optima'a worth it?
i've had good luck with walmart's everstart batteries & if you have trouble there's a wal-mart just about everywhere you go.

Re: Are Optima'a worth it?
I've had my Optima's for 4 years and love them - so far I have not been able to wear them out even on a 3 day fishing weekend - allows my trolling motor to pull my overloaded TR-21 around all day - I'm ready to quit before they are!
I have the Sears DieHard version of the optima's. Two years in a row I had traditional batteries fail me while fishing a tourn. So I decided to give them a try. They have been great so far. I don't know anyone who has them that didn't like them. They should last 4-5yrs. You will get your money back and you can't hardly discharge them. I know it's a lot of money, but so far for me it has been worth it. I have had everstart starting battery now in it's second yr. You can't run the livewell very long or it goes dead. I am prob. going to put a deka starting battery in this winter as I too have heard good things about them.
