Re: Fishing gear stolen
Pawn shops,Craigslist, flea markets are all good examples BUT unless you've etched every item with an identification mark how can you prove that item was yours?
Face it, your stuff is gone and hopefully insurance will help cover the lose. Sorry to be so gloomy but try telling a flea market vendor that the fishing gear they have for sale is yours ain't going to fly.
If the flea market vendor tells you that they just bought it from Billie Bob last week and you can have the police involved, you're still out of luck.
It's a real b#tch your stuff is gone.

Re: Fishing gear stolen
We spent a long weekend with police this weekend and built up a lot of evidence on a guy, but detectives dont work on the weekend and the guy has the right to refuse entry into his place. It's pretty frustrating that my stuff might be 50 yards away, unless he got rid of it already. He pretty much tipped me off when he decided to throw the homebrew beer bottles of mine in out dumpster. Moron. I got a feeling I'm not going to be seeing my stuff though. I confronted the guy, a well known drug dealer, and he denied and refused to let me into his apartment. Pretty frustrating.
