Re: Best baitcaster for the money
I have a couple of citica's, I like them. Fish them on my jigging rods and plastic rods. I fish curado's on the rest. Citca's were retailing for something like $119.00 last time I checked, but they may have gone up a little since then. Their quality reels.
Re: Best baitcaster for the money
i would def go for the crestfire, i have owned bout 25 of them and they are the best for the money... boys y spend 100 + $ for a reel when u can by 2 or 3 crestfires for that money and serves the same purpose.. As long as u can cast it smooth and reel in fish whats the difference besides alot of money!!
Re: Best baitcaster for the money
The older citicas you could replace the bearings and it makes it a cuardo. i dont know if you can still do that with the new ones. Ask any reel repair tech. I used to have a guy, but he retired. In need of one around the Louisville area now.
Re: Best baitcaster for the money
Long story short there are lots of good reels for that price and everyone has a favorite. I like Pfluger, Shimano and Browning reels. All offer several reels in that price range.
Re: Best baitcaster for the money
Wow!! Thanks for all the input. I think Im gonna go with the curado-1)Cause of all the great reviews you guys have gave it 2) I found a place I can get one even cheaper than ebay and hes in state and 3) I bought a shamino sahara spinning reel last year and if the curado is good as it (I love the sahara my fav spinning reel) I know I wont be disappointed. If anyone else has any other suggestions let me know. Again thanks for all the input. My next post question will be about a rod to pair the reel with.....Thanks guys.
