Re: Bluegrass Pit's South Concrete Launch ramp Big Hole at the end
ummmm.....because a 21 ft. bass boat is much more comfortable to fish out of!
At bigger tm only lakes we use my 74# 24v on the front and a 54# hand controlled on the back. She'll move fast then! I hope there isn't a law about how many tm's I can use...
The 101 thrust law is stupid imo. I'm not taking a glass boat out on a lake without a 101. Dunno why but I have a issue with small tm's.
It seems to be a grey area, but the law states that you can only have two 12-volt batteries powering trolling motors on those lakes. So if you are using 2 trolling motors, you can still only use two batteries. Either way, it is a law that doesn't make sense. On those really windy days, a big boat may need that 101 just to get back to the ramp. Has happened to me.
Re: Bluegrass Pit's South Concrete Launch ramp Big Hole at the end
Haha so a 36v tm is illegal? **** guess I can't tube behind my 101 on tm only lakes any more! I mean really WTF is the point of not allowing 36v systems? Some laws are just stupid.
Re: Bluegrass Pit's South Concrete Launch ramp Big Hole at the end
Well last night I fell into that hole and did damage to my boat trailer's tire. I may also have a new hole in my boat or a leaking live well. As I had water in the bottom of my boat. Enough to wet the carpet which is above the bottom of the boat by about 4".
So be careful when you back your boat/trailer down the concrete ramp. The hole is bigger now and closer to the shoreline.
Re: Bluegrass Pit's South Concrete Launch ramp Big Hole at the end
I have to agree with the 101 not being legal is just plain stupid. Just another example of Micro managing from a desk in Indy or Washington.
Has any of you contacted your State Reps on this matter? There are people who can get this fixed if you put enough pressure on them.
