Re: Float tube/pontoon/kickboat fisherman
I am definitely in. I am in the water when most people are still afraid to even dip their toes in. Got checked by a CO a few years back, and he told me that I was the first person he had ever seen using a tube at Peabody. This just blew me away. Absolutely perfect for this type of fishing. I can get to lakes that even the lightest "two-man" boat can't.
The only downside to tube fishing is the lack of people that do it. So, this thread really excites me. Let's get a trip planned. Maybe we could get lucky and hit the crappie spawn.

Ron,
It may be a "small world". If it was over 3.5 years ago when the CO checked you, it may have been me. I am a retired CO about 3.5 years. I worked Muhlenberg and surronding counties. Hope we can get the "fish in" together. By the way, I fish out of my tube when it is pretty darn cold also!
Re: Float tube/pontoon/kickboat fisherman
That's really wild. You probably know the area around Musky Lake then. That is my "area" to fish. It was kinda funny. He (you?) just checked my licence and I had a cooler full of SLAB bluegill. As we were talking, all I could think about was wanting to "show off" my catch. All the sudden it was like a light turned on and he said "well I guess I should check your fish, shouldn't I?" I said, "well it's about **** time." We had a good laugh and he was pretty impressed.
