Re: Any one have any Tips on bed fishing for Large Mouths
I don't like to fish for bedding fish, however if your going to compete in a large tourney you must in order to compete, as long as there are tournaments in the bedding season Bfl is sat will be over 100 boats and many will be bed fishing. As long as the water level in Cumberland is unstable most of the beds will be to deep or on the banks.
I can tell you haven't ben on Cumb . The fish haven't come up yet as one can tell by the weights in the tourneys. Alot of people scratching their heads. but still not the bite that should be going on????

He wasn't protecting the same eggs. One of the things the males have to guard against is other bass. If you took the male, the bed was unprotected and the nest was raided. Even after a good hatch, and right before the male leaved the fry, they will usually take a big gulp out of the fry so there aren't as many. Bass are all about survival, passing on their genes and making sure to limit their own future competition.
