"Barbie" really wasn't a troll. A troll is a human being trying to stir up trouble.
Barbie's a spambot, an automated program that exploits security holes in public bulletin boards. Most of the time, spambots are designed to drive traffic to websites in hopes that the traffic will increase the site's rank on search engines. They can sometimes lead to phishing sites or sites with malware.

That's awesome!
Knit me a sweater while you're at it!

Solid explanation. I was just getting ready to ask but then saw you concisely answered my question. So my next question is, how did the "spambot" know to choose that avatar to go along with the screen name?
My favorite is yahoo comment boards. Loaded with these "spambots".
I'm plugging for a new reality TV series. It's called "the life of a troll", where tv cameras follow trolls to see what their days consist of. Also included will be people that invent computer viruses and malware. I think it would be a hit. I'm curious as to what these people do and/or have accomplished in their lives.
Getting back to the subject:

GOTTA LOVE IT.........[/QUOTE]
A very interesting social experiment. So tell me what exactly this proves? I get the impression that the point is that the only fair tax is a flat tax, which I'd call a specious argument. A flat tax is in essence a regressive tax. Comparing grades to monetary wealth is apples to oranges.

From what I've read, their technology is amazing. They have even found a way to beat the "captcha" security method, the one that has an image of numbers and letters all squiggly and sideways, that only humans are supposed to be able to recognize. I've read that these bots can even carry on a conversation with each other to appear legitimate.
Crap, was hoping no one would catch on that it was a bot post. I was enjoying the swooning over it beng a post from a supposed woman with a nice avatar, people agreeing/disagreeing over what was posted and then Geo's post made it golden.
If you haven't googled the bots name yet let me say you will get some pretty racey results.

:) Yep I knew it was a crock when I saw the avatar and no introduction like "hey everyone long time reader first time poster" kinda funny.....
BTW...I blame Obama for that bot....:p
Yeah...one look at her avatar, and I knew she wasn't real...way to good looking to be posting here with all of us ugly mugs, lol! :D
