Re: # 1 UNC goes down
Get rid of one of the Portland/Radford games a year and keep all three....I'd rather have my team tested a little more early in the season than to play these cupcakes....the guys get pressed harder in practice than they do in some of these games....However you also have to look at the small schools point of view and they make a large chunk of money playing the larger schools

Re: # 1 UNC goes down
IU is not going to catch anybody in titles, I don't see why you think Crean is suddenly going to start winning titles, since he has only been to one final four ever. Come to think of it, that's the same number Cal has officially been to! I find it funny that all of a sudden Crean and Cal are considered better coaches than Pitino, especially when they were playhing each other in conference. Crean only managed one C-USA title and Cal never won one until Crean, Pitino and Huggins were gone. Louisville has been far more successful in the last 10 years than IU and on equal footing with UK, yet you want to drop that game? Why not just drop all three and schedule Raford again!

And just how many Championship games has U of L been to in the last 26 years?

Re: # 1 UNC goes down
Venture out of these sate borders of ours and count the number of IU or UNC logos on your adventure. They will be out there for sure. Look for a UL logo and that's what you are doing looking for a UL logo. Why play to the locals when the whole nation's out there to take on. Never said Cal or Crean were better than Pitino sounds like you did. Yet it's all about Natl. Championships and little brother only has two. Drop the Cards.

Is this a trick question?

I have never seen an IU flag outside of this area ever! IU fans are not scattered across the country. UNC is a different matter. What difference does that make anyway? NONE! There is a U of L flag outside of a bar in the British Virgin Islands! I guess using your convoluted logic that means UK should drop IU!
Clyde you are too easy, good thing you are not a girl! Tell you what, make the tournament and then try talking smack! ;)

Re: # 1 UNC goes down
You are mistaken. The UK North Carolina series was renewed in 2000. Uk and UNC have played 34 times, Louisville and Kentucky have played 42 times. You might want to keep the series with U of L because UNC owns your azzes!
As for IU they haven't been relavent since the late 80's, except for a cute little Cinderella run in 2002. As for Crean getting it rolling, that remains to be seen. It has taken him a long time to get them to the point they are at now, a whole lot longer than I would have expected considering how 1 or 2 key players can turn a hoops season around in a hurry. He would be doing better if he could keep the hometown talent at IU, but that hasn't been the case so far.
Sometimes I wonder if a couple of you really follow sports.
Really Tim? Maybe you should check IU's current roster, and the slew of in-state recruits we have commited! IU is taking back the state of Indiana, Butler's run is done! Have you forgotten about 92....we were the best team and would have won the championship (IMO) if Alan Henderson had not gotten hurt in the final 4. Crean started with one....count em....one scholarship player when he took over.....doing it the correct way takes a while!

Still losing a lot of big time recruits out of his back yard. Heck look at UK's starting point guard. And yes I did forget about 92, for some reason I thought that was about the time Knight couldn't get out of the first round (kind of like my teams current coach).

You just don't get it do you Tim. Fan base is irrelevant through out the nation. You will see more support for the other two said teams than you will your Cards. Plain and simple your fan base can't hang with the likes of IU or UNC. I have no official stats to back that up as I judge with mine own eyes. Choose a state any state and your odds of seeing UL logos are slim to none. Be it a flag a tee shirt a bumper sticker whatever. I like playing the Hoosiers regardless of up or down years. You will find more support for the Hoosiers than you will your Cards outside the general area. Makes all the difference to me. IU bigger fan base through out than UL. Look it up I'm sure you'll find it somewhere.

I travel a lot with work - I never see IU anything. Probably 50% of the time I will run into a person wearing Louisville gear, especially in FL, GA, TN.
Find some official stats and please share. There is a reason Louisville has the highest revenue of any basketball program... Here are some for you to chew on. http://www.bizjournals.com/louisville/news/2011/11/17/louisville-tops-duke-in-basketball.html

OK....one big time recruit....well two. Teague to UK....who I'm glad we didn't get....one and done and too selfish. Then Gary Harris who didn't want to come here and compete for playing time with our depth.....still wish we would have gotten him though! Nice dig on Knight btw...you just can't resist can you?
A U of L fan once told me that the thing that upsets him about being called "little brother" is knowing what UK fans like doing to their relatives.
Exactly :p
