Re: State of Healthcare is worse than I thought
It is not my responsibilty to pay for someone else. Period. My taxes are too high, my healthcare is too high, my gas prices are too high. I work hard to provide for me and mine. Government should represent all, not just the wealthy, not just the poor, not just the middle class. Making others work and pay for those that don't is communism.
Re: State of Healthcare is worse than I thought
And futhermore Obama keeps preaching that everyone should pay their fair share, but I think every should work their fair share. I work 2 jobs to live the way I do, why again should I pay for someone else's health issues unless I decide to. And yes I do give to charities and do feel it is my Christian duty to do so and it is your right not the feel the same. But I do not feel that I should be made to do the "right thing". I had a son pass away 6 years ago and was in the hospital for 6 months. Total bill was 1.5 million. My insurance, which I WORKED to obtain paid for most and I paid for what was left and I am proud to say no Government assistance. My child was my responsibility. IMO government should stay out of it. Someone may ask, what if you didn't have insurance? Well, he was my child and my responsibility and would have lost everything, but you know I have another child that I am will to give up everything for and trust me, you never know when that statement might become reality. The good Lord will not put more on you than you can handle if you live close to him.
