[QUOTE=kygorski;506860]Never figured you for kumbahyi moment. When we traveled we had books on tape, and you could trade them at cracker barrel.Yep read aulds books also. There are a couple I dont mind re-reading at times, Catch 22 the Lonesome Dove books.and Centenial.Gunslinger took so long that I read a few over,I think I heard that King is doing a remake on the slinger. Books transcend politics brother.
Great characters in the "Dove" series, but I only read one. It was about when Gus and Woodrow first met, can't remember the title or author.
Went through a King phase years ago. "The Green Mile" (on my all time top 20 list) was my favorite, and I liked "Delores Claiborne" a lot too. Went through a long list of his other books before getting tired of his material. That guy is amazing. He also wrote some good stuff under the Bachman pseudonym, and with Peter Straub.
yeah I read that first one also. My favorite line from lonesome dove, was when that army major rode up to them and asked why they brought those cattle up to montana. and gus said "to watch em sh-t"!
