Re: Your Personal Best Bass?
12.5 lbs last June. I caught it on a Mepps #3 silver with white skirt.I could take my fist and make a circle in her mouth and not touch!!!28.5 inches long.Took pictures and released her.My wife and buddy looked at me like I was crazy. She just came off the nest and her tail was red.If her belly was full of eggs she might of hit 14 lbs. I had another fish in the same lake the year before that broke brand new 17 lb. test line at the reel and at the bait. I was trying to hand my pole to me son so he could reel it in and BOOOOM....line snapped. It sounded like a 12 gauge going off.I have caught several 6-7 lbs. back when I was young and fished 8 days a week!!!:D
Re: Your Personal Best Bass?
Caught some better ones in Florida and TX on live bait, but my best on home waters is a 8lbs 8 oz. LM on Kentucky Lake (Carolina rigged baby brush hog) and a 5lbs. 14 oz. SM on Kentucky Lake (Carolina rigged wooly hawgtail).

Re: Your Personal Best Bass?
I caught two largemouth this past year on Ky and Barkley that were over 7. One was 7.5 - Those were my first two over 7, now I am shooting for 8.
I caught a Smallmouth this year that went 6.2 or 6.4 - by far the biggest smallie I have ever caught.
Caught one of the LM, on a short arm black spinner (night)
Caught the other two, and severl over 6 on the same bait - Last cast Finesse jig in Green Pumpkin - I will always have that tied on. Thanks to Dave Stewart for introducing them to this area. Sorry to everyone else if I buy the bulk of them before they are put on the shelf.
Can't wait for this year! I have two goals for this year, but probably won't see them with the twins coming in 10 weeks (right in the middle of good fishing time!!! - I didn't plan so well).
1. Break 8 lbs.
2. Break 25 lb. bag (had two over 20 last year, but can't seem to get to that 25 mark)

Re: Your Personal Best Bass?
Biggest largemouth I have caughten was from one of the hundreds of pit lakes at the Peabody Reserve, KY (it's my little secret as to which one, lol)...she went 10.3 lbs, caught in 30 ft of water with a c-rigged worm on the 4th of July, 2004. Biggest smallmouth came from the Quetico National Forest in Canada...it went 5.4 lbs, caught smashing a 3 1/2" topwater popper in the first week of June. That was fun! I ended up catching well over 50+ brownbacks over 4 lbs that trip....can't wait to get back!!!

My best SM- 5 lbs. Dale Live shad
