I'm going to be patient this year and wait until about March 20 or so before I venture out. I'll be eyeing the weather like a hawk! Late March into early April I want to fish Cedar Creek, KY River and Ellerslie. Then fishing Dale Hollow April 9-11.

I'm going to Patoka, I already have me license. I keep telling myself to fish this lake. I need to see what the hype is about.
All over the friggin' place! Local creeks, Red River (Gorge) and tributaries, Taylorsville, KY Lake, Licking River, probably Big Bone, and hopefully I'll get down around C-Land River some, maybe Rock Creek, I have a score to settle with that place. First and last (so far) time I went, there was an F-4 tornado that trapped us in, poor park rangers and fireman cut trees on that little gravel road all night cause they thought we where all dead. They told us the tornado had touched down a 1/4 mile from our camp site, apparently not killing us was the trade-off for blowing us off KY Lake and letting us drive all the way over to Rock Creek not to be able to fish there either. Good luck to us all.
Hey Colonelmeyer,
when was that on Rock Creek? I went to school at Centre College and used to go down to Rock Creek from Danville every now and again. My last trip was about in '99 from Louisville and I remember it being pure hell to get anywhere down there on those crazy back roads along Rock Creek because of all the blow downs. Seems like I remember talking to a park ranger who mentioned that there had, in fact, been a tornado through there recently. It sure looked like it. Just wondering if that was the same time frame as your last trip.
Ill be hittin all the secret spots on barren river lake! Man I cant wait for that water to warm up! if anyone is going out let me know and we will get the Bigins!
Anywhere there is water and a chance to catch some fish. Man I have tried to bare the weather but its either to cold or to windy. Will be heading to Laurel and Wood Creek mostly though. Taking some trips to Cumberland and Cedar and hoping to take a trip to Kentucky and go after them monsters.
