One with a five pound plus smallmouth on the end of it!
well i orderd a carrot stix today and it is on back order. they should have some in today she said. i read all the commints on bps site all the ones here and talked to some people all where good things so i will give them a shot. i will match it with a johnny morris reel and the rod is a 7 foot med. action. i almost went with a med. hevy but one guy said his felt more like a heavy action so i figured a med. will fill like a med. heavy. either way i hope i will be satisfied.
thanks

I used to get 7' Tour Series Rapala rods at Uncle Lees. They were only 50 smacks and they were, by far, the best rods I ever had in my hand for the money. They were built almost exactly like a Loomis GLX. The Long Cast model that they make is pretty good too. I wish I could find them again somewhere. I have searched high and low for more. Anyone know who might still have them?

Save your money for something worth it. I used my partners and was not impressed. It's only for looks on the lake. They were made to catch fishermen, not fish...... IMHO
Kistler all the way!
i orderd from bps dont i have 30 days i can try it out and if i dont like it i can exchange it. if any body knows if this is true or false let me know.
thanks

My favorite rod of all time would have to be the 10-footer my dad took me surf-fishing with when I was 13. I caught a 2# sea trout (aka weakfish), and we went back to the little mom 'n' pop shop in Lewes, DE where he'd bought the pole, the tackle, and the squid we used for bait, and they took my picture and hung it on the wall. That picture hung in that shop for 10 years or so. Dad doesn't have that pole any more, and I couldn't even tell you what make/model it was, but it was my favorite.
those carrot stix rods in my opinion stink i had one and the tip broke while a fish was on it ifya wanna good pole for a fair price get the bps=johnny morris excelent pole for the price at least ya get ya money s worth carrot stix just make ya look cool thats just my experience with a carrot id rather eat one then fish with it
Any rod... repeat ANY ROD can break, I have broke ... Loomis, Kistler Heliums, Falcon, All Star Rods, Team Daiwa and the list goes on and on, I am on the water ALOT, I have 3 Carrot Stix and 3 other people after using mine have went out and purchased one of their own (one guy has bought two now) But you have to realize that some rods are specialty rods and are designed for a particular purpose - All the bigger names have them and Carrot Stix are no different.
You tell of breakage - Which I have yet to see -YET, I'm sure I will but, when it comes time to replace I walk in hand it over and get a new one and leave. I don't have to pay shipping or anything else, And on January 5th, 2009 in 26 degrees with ice hanging off the rod I snatched a 3-1/2 Smallmouth and swung him into the boat with this rod, at a time when it would/should show signs of breakage it didn't. I had the right rod for what I was doing. Cumara's are another rod I would highly recommend they are made in the same place Loomis are made and are parralled with them.
I went for 2 months trying to find the rod I was going to use for my "Go To" rod, I drove everyone crazy, I even inquired about different rods on here and looked into every ones suggestions, I researched and I researched and ultimately it was the "feel/sensitivity" of the rods and the "warranty" of the rods - not the color, anyone who buys a rod because it's pretty or cool needs another hobby. The rods are quality and are backed by a lifetime warranty period. I am in no way a rep, nor do I sell, or am I any way associated with E21 (or any rod mfg.), I am a satisfied user of their products.

i bought a 7 foot med. action for worm and jig fishin and i never hardley throw anything bigger then a 1/2 oz. so i thought the 7 foot med. would be good. do you agree. i herd how sinsitive they are and that is why i wanted one i realy dont care fore the color, just that it will help me fill more bites.
thanks
