Re: This years best
I have no offical weight or length measurment but estimate 23" and 7-7.5 pounds. I did snap a couple pictures on my cell phone before I realsed her. Fish was a Lm at Green in late May after the massive flood. Me and my freind never left the house until just before noon and we were on fish the rest of the day. Buy dark we estimated our best 5 in the 22 lb range.
You caught 7+ at Taylorsville? That is impressive. How long ago was that?
Back in the Middle of September. Daylight for about ten minutes. Worm under a log and bam!!! Wish I would have caught the girl in April. She would have been pushing ten. She was 23 1/4"!!!

Re: This years best
I fish the OH river too much...I consider myself lucky to even get bit most of the time, but brought a couple of 2+ lbs to the scales.
As far as "normal" lakes:
5.8 out of Guntersville
4.5 out of KY Lake
Quick question for the guys who posted on this thread about fishing Salto in Mexico -
How "safe" were you down there with all the drug lords and such taking over? I would LOVE to fish that lake but with the state things are in in Mexico (as witnessed on the Mexico side of Falcon Lake) I'm not sure a 10 lb bass is worth it.

Re: This years best
Basses?
Not for me but Ima gone to butt in on this one to tell you some real big fish weights.
My biggest fish was a flathead this year, it was my biggest ever, 49 pounds even!!!!!! Then i got two carps, one was 38 pounds and the other was 37 pounds out of patoka lake. The big flathead was from the wabash river, caught on a 2 pound carp!!!!!!!!!! Got me a chanel cat that was 19 pounds out of my home lake and I lost count of the 10 to 25 pound carps i caught there.
I know you fellas like your basses, but god almighty I catch some real drag squealers!LOL!!!!!
Dont limit your horizons now guys, there are some real bigguns out there that arent basses that take just as much talent to get a hold of. I know you are laughin but take a trip with old Tyrone and you will see, prolly sell your fancy rigs and outfits and get some real fishin stuff adn do some battle!!!!!
I know you guys all take your quarry serious buit that dont mean us guys that dont fish for basses dont!!!!!!! I spend just as much time fishin for bottomfeeders as you guys do chasin them green fish, only difference is mine could eat yours@!!!!!LOL!
Have a great new year and lets hope we all catch more bigguns!!!!

No issues at El Salto. The border cities are the problem and you will never be near them flying into Mazatlan, MX, then transported directly to your lodge for the duration of the trip. We have our trip booked for June 2011 for 4 days.
