Smoke em if you got em. Hippies
Someone give this man another Miller Lite or a good shot of KY Branch Water! Thinking he might just need to chill! :)

The response of someone with no real answer to a real subject....I'm not for legalizing it. I think it would open up a whole new can of worms, but when your only answers are smoke em if you got em, or coughhippiecough, or stoners, then it's probably time to come up with a new stance
You sound like a third grader saying "yeah well my daddy can beat up your daddy"
....... car accident ..... I'd much rather get hit by a pothead going 35 than a drunk doing 70
You know, I have noticed that. Drunks wreck and end up 200 yards off the road. Stoners end up parked on the sidewalk or in the median, much easier to retrieve.
And it's easier for the highway patrolman to stop a stoner, then it is to get in a high speed chase with a drunk.

my resposibility
If it were legal, it nwould be up to ME. ultimately we are responsible for our actions good or bad. God gave me a brain, and the power to reason. I don't want anyone telling me whats right or wrong. I'll leave that to god, he will judge me.
It's all about choices. Marijuana is no more of a gateway drug than a tylenol suppository. Just because Nancy Reagan says it's bad doesn't automatically make it so. My dad busted me with a quarter bag during my 5th year of college. He told me I was going to end up like my uncle Mark. Well I smoked with my uncle Mark many times and he's now dead. His life wasn't the greatest, but that was his choice. When he busted me I had about a 3.9 GPA in one of the better schools of pharmacy at Purdue University. Now I'm surrounded by drugs every day - I could lift all the Oxycontin's and Opana's I want - IF I WANTED TO. There's simply no reason for me to do so. It's almost like "guns don't kill people........"
Some people can handle anything I guess. Others have addictive tendencies that they don't know they have until they take that first hit. It's too late for them. Some people can drink a beer and have no problems and others drink a beer and become alcoholics. I used to tell my daughter that life was about choices and that she could chose to do the right thing. I believed that until I saw her after 6 months and saw that she had lost so much weight. She was shriveling up. She had dark circles under her eye's and was taking alcohol, zanex, pot or meth every day. After all the years of me telling her to make the right choices in life, she looked at me and told me she couldn't help herself. She couldn't stop. At that point I knew that there is a line you cross where making the right choice is no longer an option. After picking up the pieces of my broken heart and wiping away my tears, I was on a mission to get my little girl some help. I've seen the worst that drugs have to offer and no one can convince me that they are nothing but evil. I teach my other kids to stay away from all drugs including alcohol. Dont even try it! Of course they saw what drugs did to their sister and what they did to our family. I don't think I will ever have to worry about them. Sorry about the long post and the strong passion I have about drugs, but this has been up close and personal for me. No one can convince me that it's not a big deal.

That must have been TOUGH as heck man and I pray it was an eye opener to your other kids, friends and family members. That could be the silver lining in that tragic situation. I haven't seen that happen within my personal circle of friends and family with drugs but have seen it with booze. Several friends who have decided to seek comfort within the bottle have lost everything. Others still function at a high level with the addiction but as you say some people can handle it.
My first encounter with an alcoholic was a fella I fished with years ago. He was a successful business owner with a lot of health issues like high BP, overweight, bad back, bad knees and other stuff. He always had a beer in his hand I mean always. When we would fished tourneys on the road we shared hotel rooms and he would drink himself to sleep. In the morning when your getting the gear together most folks had coffee not Ron....he was sucking down a Coors Light he would drink 3-4 before we even got into the boat to fish!! His boat cooler was full of ice and beer and no one could tell he had been drinking except for the smell of it on his body, especially when he sweated.. He has since passed on and was a great guy but had his demons.
Wish the best to you and the family!

Understandably so. No need to apologize. Two real life stories that had separate outcomes with legitimate arguments from both sides.

LMAO you have proven that you have no clue what you are talking about, yet instead of trying to defend your argument, you come off with CRAP responses. Shows a low IQ and lack of intelligence. Perhaps you should get high, I doubt it would hurt any brain cells! Are you one of those people that think "Reefer Madness" was a realistic documentary?
I can name four friends of mine now that have smoked weed most of their life. I can promise you, you are nowhere near as successful in life as they are, so I doubt the "lack of motivation" or "lazy" theory fits here. It sounds great, but the facts do not back you up!

I have no idea what you are talking about. I supplied proof of the negative effects of medicinal use of pot. Another member here provided proof it's a gateway.
If Tim t is posting everyone knows he's gonna bring up the low iq or lack of intelligence of someone, everytime. Timt is the holy grail of interweb genius.
The hippie remarks were made in jest, not towards you, but hey if it fits? Lets remember how the peaceful potheads treated Vietnam veterans, shall we?
Of course you have pothead buddies more successful than I, why don't you round up snoopy doggy and the rest of the choom gang and put it on the ballot?

Oh hell no Tim. You ARE NOT gonna snipe me all night.
Norml? WTF? Couldn't you find a high times article? When exactly did you enter this fray anyway? I can find more links to stoned drivers but I figured the flipping la times would be moderate enough.
If you and your successful friends take over the feds in Ky, I will celebrate!!!!!!!!! Can you say ky machine guns oh intelligent one?
This was a dog and pony show to reelect your savior, nothing more. Suckers gonna ****, and sheeple still bending over. I'm thinking roadtoad knows exactly what I'm talking about.
Two wrongs never make a right and I'll vote to prohibit alcohol before I vote to legalize pot. Who is the Moron now oh great wizard.
