So you guys talking horse manure feel money should be taken from some and spread around to others right? Apparently you believe the government should decide who gets what then. The constitution and freedom be damned, if you're rich, the government should have the power to take however much of your money they want.
(BTW, this is the same government that maybe 12 to 15% of Americans trust and believe in. Man, those honest and trustworthy politicians in Washington, DC are going to finally make it all better for us.)
What percentage of their income should the rich pay the government? 40? 50? 60?
Exactly what tax rates are the Democrats proposing?
What happens when the rich don't have enough to pay for the government 'services' those of us who are less fortunate are entitled to? What happens when they start digging in your pile of manure? Think you'll still be calling for more and bigger government?
Come to think of it the federal government is about to scoop deeper into my tiny pile of manure starting in January. (see the beginning of this thread) I'm not rich, what the hey?
Bush's fault? Nope he's long gone. The evil Republicans' fault? Nope they only control a single branch of congress. Now who is left...let me think a sec...oh I know, how about Barack freakin Obama and Harry freakin Reid?
Good morning Mr. Horse... The government making a grab for your money pile and throwing it out the windows like confetti is the way hard liners interpret that 'spread the wealth' statement... I doubt you would find a very big percentage of people anywhere that actually advocate that... Money being piled up in a scrooge McDuck money bin of some kind does damage to the economy.. Folks getting better paychecks and turning that money into goods and services that others of us produce and getting better paychecks for producing those goods and services makes for a stronger economy but I think you know that, I don't believe for a minute that folks like yourself and other hardliners here think the rich getting richer at the expense of the rest of us is good for our economy... If somebody's money pile is growing, somebody's is shrinking, I don't believe our government prints money for the sole purpose of making folks richer while the rest of us just stroll along un-affected by this.... Better paychecks are a much better stimulus to the economy than cheaper labor, cheaper and cheaper labor causes a domino effect and we find ourselves going in the wrong direction... The reference to financial resources 'piling up like manure' is a good analogy to whats happening.

I cannot believe you. Your spewing this garbage like your Obama's press secretary....man are you serious? You assume that if you don't have billions your poor? You assume that if someone has a large pile of money they shouldn't have it since that's wrong. So you believe that all these politicians like Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Kerry are such good rich people that they want to share more of their money and help the law abiding people of America huh? What happened to people's minds??????
The gubment is doing another money grab and some of you liberals are all for it, why? It's your nature to agree with these idiots regardless of their track record and regardless of how ridiculous their plan is? Let me get this straight Obama lovers feel that this economy and country has become this bad because of two reasons....rich people didn't pay enough taxes and guns kill people?? That's what rules then news now. Little to no mention of this idiot Obama who has strapped us with trillions of debt, sure the debt ceiling is looming but hasn't it been a problem for a long time?? These are the same idiots who you feel should have more money from tax payers to fix the things they messed up huh? The borders are not fixed, immigration is not fixed, healthcare is about to get crazy, taxes could go up on us productive tax paying folks and all you and alot like you can say is it's fair to take more from a small percentage of people and give it to gubment goons who cannot do anything right with money! Your mentality is Unionized all the way. Take take take so we all get a share even if we don't deserve it.
This stupid perception of rich people ticks me off!!! How many of you live around "rich" people??? Maybe have family? Extended family? Well if you don't I'm here to tell you it isn't as these politicians portray it. Some are retired folks who do enjoy a nice living and who invested wisely and who contribute to churches and local charities. They live on a budget and have set their kids and grandkids up with education funds and so on. they are not out trying to stick it to you or a young adult getting into the work force....that's the gubments job and they have brainwashed you guys into blaming people who are productive and who take responsibility for their family and actions. They are not all walstreet tycoons, Trumps, Hollywood tools or multimillion dollar business owners. Start putting a face to these people and stop thinking ohhhh their just rich and can afford it. You should be saying STOP!!!!! what do you mean the gubment wants more money??? We are in debt up to our ears with all their other actions but yet they want more?? This action of taking money will fix everything! Doesn't that ring a bell to some of you?? It doesn't say something is wrong? Your not concerned that they are becoming so powerful that we who supply them money are dwindling and at some point it will break?? We are going in the wrong direction and your buying into it. Why why why does anyone feel it's ok??? So I'm guessing that if they start taking more money from you retired folks who are not rich you will finally say its wrong?? This could be less benefits from the gubment, food costing more or whatever they are involved in. It's all connected and they toss these smoke screens up all the time. This mentality of Liberals and gubment goons has got to change. We cannot continue to say it's ok to take more money from others, allow people benefits who don't deserve them, borrow money from other nations and spend money we don't have. All this while these same people cannot pass a budget but yet you don't care. All you care about is that Rich people pay more when the facts show that will amount to nothing in the way of fixing things.

DJD made some excellent points!
Piling money in scrooge McDuck money bin does damage to the economy? Absolutely unbelievable, not to mention very discouraging that so many people feel like you.
What is damaging the economy the most is so many people looking for government support instead of working for their own McDuck piles.
My family spent an evening this week with some friends who are quite rich by Obama standards. I've known them since they were little more than teenagers, and they work harder than anyone I know. They started with absolutely nothing...got it? NOTHING. They busted their butts putting themselves through college at night while working days, 20 hour work days were (and still are) routine for them. Now they make a ton of money, their house is big enough for its own zip code, and they likely have a few million in their McDuck pile.
Their pile ain't buried in the back yard in mayo jars, its not sitting in the bank doing nothing, its danged sure not keeping your wages low. It is invested in the BY GOD AMERICAN ECONOMY. You feel me brother? Their money is invested in the American economic system.
You and those like you who have been brainwashed by the Democrats, believe my friends and many others like them should give more of their money to the government instead of putting it back into the economy.
Please Explain to me how that is better for America. I'll be waiting.
You call me a hard liner because I believe in the constitution, freedom, and a limited federal government. I believe people should be free to work as hard and get as rich as they want without people like you being able to take what they work for away.
That so many people agree with you is the root of what is wrong with our country.
I submit to you sir, it is YOU and those like you who are the hard liners. Those who believe its right to forcibly take what others work hard for and give to the less fortunate (a significant number of which sit on their ass and holler for Barack Obama to give them money) are socialist hard liners.
Show me a single person putting in 20 hour days like my evil rich friends who has his hand out to Barack Obama for money. I'll vote for a Democrat for every one you find.
Hard liner my ass.

I cannot believe you. Your spewing this garbage like your Obama's press secretary....man are you serious? You assume that if you don't have billions your poor?
Of course not, where did I assume that
“if someone has a large pile of money they shouldn't have it since that's wrong”
I don’t remember saying its wrong having money but I will say if someone’s ‘money pile’ is growing and at the same time he has folks working for him/her at or close to minimum wage who has to depend on government assistance then he is part of the problem and I believe I might have said that in reference to “better paychecks”… If you have someone working for you at a low enough wage that he/she qualify for food stamps then you are indirectly benefiting from the food stamps program.
people didn't pay enough taxes and guns kill people??
Do rich folks pay too much taxes.. probably…does the middle class pay too much taxes.. probably… does the rich pay their fair share, absolutely not and this has been hashed over several times on this forum… is the government over bloated... yes … do guns kill people.. no
Your mentality is Unionized all the way. Take take take so we all get a share even if we don't deserve it.
Do I believe in unions?... yes… whether or not somebody deserves his paycheck is an opinion you have and you are wrong in most cases… Somebody deserving his paycheck has nothing to do with him putting that paycheck back into the economy… If he doesn’t deserve that paycheck at all, he is still doing more for the health of the economy than the folks who might be ‘piling money up like manure’.

If the folks you speak of here are business owners and are not taking advantage of the food stamp program in as far as their employees are concerned then they are doing their part... If they are working people at minimum wage and as a result their 'money pile' is growing then they are not doing their part, they might as well be drawing food stamps themselves.

what do you mean the gubment wants more money???
Had to look at my post to see if I said that, didn’t see that anywhere but the government always wants more money, that’s not new.
We are going in the wrong direction and your buying into it.

Except for the name calling, I agree with most of what you said here, I don't think the rich should pay more, I believe they should pay the same percentage folks in the middle class pay... It is baffling to me why anybody thinks it is right to pay a smaller percentage in taxes just because you make more money.

Taking money out of the economy doesn't hurt it?...If you say so
What is damaging the economy the most is so many people looking for government support instead of working for their own McDuck piles.

I assume you are referring to the welfare losers that we all have a distaste for in this statement, welfare is 12% of the budget and included in that 12% are the folks who are unable to fend for themselves.. You think we should behead them to save that 8 or 9 percent of that 12% that they live on?
Same as I responded to DJD, if your family's friend doesn't have employees drawing food stamps then they aren't part of the problem, otherwise...
Giving more money to the government does not help the economy, better paychecks do.
people like me... I did draw an unemployment check once for three months if that is what "people like you" was referring to.
There is more right with our country than there is wrong with it, look around the world... We don't even let folks starve who can't fend for themselves but I guess you want that part of your tax dollars back..
It is baffling to me why anybody thinks it is right to pay a smaller percentage in taxes just because you make more money.
It's more baffling to me that you can say that. If the man, woman or corporation is not breaking the law then are you really barking up the right tree?? What example are you using? The Obama example? Wanna bet we can play stupid data cut and paste games?
The point is and has always been that your party has many many many many rich people and yet they act as if they are not rich and or play stupid games saying they should pay more taxes. So the party and the idiot in charge are screaming that America is in dire straights because folks have become wealthy. Even you victimize business owners just like the idiot in charge who is trying to demean people who have made it. You can play the little liberal games but it's clear that your into taking what's not yours for the sake of liberalism.
In your mind a man has to ask permission to the dictator whether he can have what others do not have because he earned, inherited or lucked into a business ownership. My goodness we are sooooo in trouble!!!
I would have never ever thought this approach by Obama would gain this much ground. I have always steered clear of any comparisons to Obama and Hitler but not anymore. If this idiot started claiming business owners were evil and should be arrested then it would be supported by alot of liberals because its what the idiot said to do. Am I saying Hitler was evil and crooked? Yep! I'm also saying Obama is evil, devious and crooked. Am I saying Hitker was a great man?? Nope and I say the same about Obama. Am I saying I approve of what Hitler did to the Jews? Nope and I saying I don't approve of what Obama is doing to all of us!!!
I'm sorry dude....drink your koolaid, get your monthly ration of money from the idiotic fools in charge and watch this country fall apart because of your ideals that in my book don't add up.
Maybe I'll change my ideas once I depend on the system to support me and I'm out of my money making years but for now I wish I could just keep more of what I make and not be subjected to future attacks by liberals who try and demonize people who work for a living.

I'm glad to see your blood pressure went down a bit and I got my bloody nose cleaned up some so maybe we can have a good evening... Folks who work for a living aren't the problem, folks underpaying folks who work for a living is the problem, other than that we would have no use for unions.
I agree so I will quit working and have some body spread their wealth to me. If the workers don't like it, they can WORK somewhere else, or take the risk and create their own company.
If YOU DON'T LIKE IT....how about you get off your azz and create a better workplace for them.
It really chaps my ass when folks actually think places like wal-mart are in business to give someone a job. GET THIS STRAIGHT....they are not. They are in business to make money. The self checkout lines help them keep costs down for ME the consumer.
I dread the day when more folks are taking than are earning and we have riots in the streets like Greece. When that does happen, those riots will be 100 times worse.......

as far as me making a better place for the poor to work, I wish I could. but I don't have the money or brains to do so. but as I watch them struggle trying to take care of their family's working for crumbs, I do feel sorry for them.
I know walmart and every other business is in business to make money, you may not know this, but the workers that make the company's money, would like to make a little money to.
I to hate to see this country destroyed by something that could have been prevented, if only company's would not have been so greedy.
now, for that chapped bottom of yours, in a lot of your post. I read where a lot of things chap your bottom, I have always heard staying wet down there will cause a person to chap. and I've heard that red oil is good for a chapped bottom. but if the wetness is caused by a leaking kidney, then a greedy medical business person may be the cure.
