Re: Price of Gas:
got a email today , apr 1997 there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas price. gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
on may 15th 2007 ,all internet user are asked not to buy gasoline in protest of high price there are 73 million + american currenttly on the internet, average vehicle 30-50 dollar per fill up. if all users did not go to the pump that would take almost 3 BILLION out of the oil companies pockets so lets put a dent in the middle east oil industry for at least 1 day, please pass along.

I don't agree with this one bit. We enjoy more freedoms than anyone in the world. This country is by far the best to live in and I am 100% proud to be an American. For you to compare us with the Russians of 20 years ago is absolutely ridiculous, and almost an insult. We are helping those in need. We cannot be a self-centered nation. We help those in need because it is our American tradition and the right thing to do.
We have the most extraordinary armed forces and I am truly thankful for the sacrifices they make. Rather than ask "buy anything american lately", you should be asking, "have you thanked a soldier lately?"
I thank all soldiers for their service. I thank you, Mr. LarryG, for your service. If it were not for the brave men and women in this country, I would not enjoy the freedoms that I do. I truly believe that high gas prices is a mere rock in the shoe compared to what those in other nations face. We have it pretty darn good in the USA!
