Please excuse my lack of reading skills. I went throught the thread and not sure of the final date. Might help if you put it in the Title field.

John, Sh!t creek was ugly today only managed a couple gizzard it seems feast or famine and the skipps I got 2 were deep which was unusual. The lower dam was closed they have a barge uptop doin some kind of repair, could take a while for them to pop it open. They are breakin alot of rock in the locks right now maybe taken down one of the old walls,it left the water streaked mud and well murky. The core is doin there best at hurtin the fishin. I got two both at the upper, both around 15+ nothing big. Bait was the key today along with running water. Tried to hook up with Chris (big cat) but we both kept missing each other. I hope your alls trip goes better than Mine today Good luck...Chuck
I have another place to get bait not far from the stink hole that usualy produces ill show you if you fish the friday one.Ive definutely casted my net there at the stinkhole and came up short but if you move around that area you can usually find them.Hell you can ride with me and Doug if you want.As far as dates i thought it was Monday July 21 and Friday the 25th,correct me if im wrong. As far as fishing goes Chuck the striper fishing in some of my usual spots has been sorry to say the least.I dont know if the quick drop in water or what has slowed them down.I havent been up around the dam the last few trips out so thanks for the report.Im going to try to make it up there one day this weekend to eyeball what i want to do Monday evening.Take care and 15 pounders beat and ole 2 pound drum anyday lol.John
Final Date well there is two of them. Monday the 21st and friday the 25th. I just got back from Cannelton with my wife. Bait was hard to find until I was showed how to get them skips. I had two skips off of sabkies and was watching this guys catch the hack out of them. So I trolled over there and they were nice enough to share some very helpful information. Forget the Sabki rigs, crickets under a slip float just like you were fishing for pan fish. We caught a couple of blues biggest was 21lbs, but the stripers were hot on the top water bite. Well until one decided to take my one and only plug. If anyone see a 5 poud striper with a blue and silver popper in its mouth there will be a 5.00 dollar reward for there fish you can keep the popper. He put an ending to my top water fishing tonight. It was realy my own fault for using 6 pound line to fish for stripers. What was I thinking. Any how see you guys Monday. (6:oo p.m.)
Chris
I will be in for the 25th. I have a big jon boat and can take 2-3 extra people with me and the wife. If anyone wants to go in my boat they just need to bring a folding chair to sit in.
I'll need someone to show me where to catch the bait. Also what do I need to bring to catch the bait?
So let me get the details straight: Friday, July 25th at 6:00 pm at the greenwood boat ramp.
I think friday night we are going to leave out of the In side. The ramp right above the bridge someone help me with the name it has a big yellow tent. I went out of Greenwood the other night pretty good ride from there to lower gate. Never made it to the upper. I used a whole tank of gas, so I will bring some extra with me my boat only holds six gallons, and I have a 40hp on it. Just wanted to let you guys know that if you are bringing smaller boats. Chris

As long as the bait cooperates anyone can follow me to a few spots i know, ill even bring an extra cast net to speed up the process.
Guys ive heard a few say bait is hard to come by and i just have to add that there right.Casted about 8 0r 9 times this morning at sh__creek and one other spot and came up with about 8 or 9.Hope is was just a bad time this morning.Water is low everywhere and striper bite is really really slow.Water temp is around 83.0 in the evenings. There are some logs floating here and there but not too bad if you know where to run.
We need some rain...
