Republicans are a joke...They don't care squat about the average middle class american. The only ones who will have to pay more taxes are the $200,000 earners.. I really feel sorry for em... It's about time the tables were turned on these snobs. O'bama is a sure two termer now and I and most I've talked to are very thankful to have someone in office who cares about the poor and working poor. You can see what Republicans are made of when they shout the N word and spit at people. Come November hopefully we can get rid of some more of these weirdos!!!!!!!!
I think you better read the news!

BTW...what about the Veterans who have placed their life on the line and or sacrifced their lives for this country and get treated like dog poo? Wonder why we never had a nation wide out cry for them? Maybe because it's not politically advantagous? Maybe there are not enough of them to matter come election day?
Have you ever seen what our gubment puts them through? Of course your happy that your getting your slice of the pie right? What about them? You willing to give to them as they need it and have been for YEARS!
This has got to be the most outrageous statement ever made by a public official, let alone by the President of The United States...and this guy is our "Commander in Chief."
Here is Obama's response when he backed off from his decision to require the military to pay for their war injuries. WHAT AN EMPTY HEADED PERSON HE MUST BE....
Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours of active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.
"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute..." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."
REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT..."Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the cost of their choice?"
How in the world did a person with such disregard for those who fight for our freedom become our Commander in Chief? I didn't vote for him. I hope people will remind every Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard service member or veteran of a military service of Obama's statement and make sure he doesn't get a second term in office.
Re: Health Care Bill is Passed
bug is there a source for that quote?
I'm not a big Obama fan, but I can't imagine even he's stupid enough to make a statement like that. I've been proven wrong many times though;)
Re: Health Care Bill is Passed
Also, this is an important issue. The thread has kind of gotten sidetracked with religion innuendos and such. I also did not intend for Bobby Headrick to interpret my post as he did. I wasn't implying in any way that his mother needed to die - sorry if you took it the wrong way. My statement was a more general one regarding the increased life expectancy combined with the growing population of our country. Nuff' said.
Can we get back to the health care reform as it currently stands and discuss further.........
Re: Health Care Bill is Passed
Arauthator, since you still refuse to recognize that your Proverbs quote was uncalled for and a gross misuse of Scripture, what if I posted this:
If anyone is offended by me loving God, I'm sorry for that.

"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness."-2 Cor.14-15
Now, to quote your post: "I didn't write that one. The BIBLE says that and I threw it out there so people know."
Can you see the problem here?
Re: Health Care Bill is Passed
Yea lets discuss the facts and quit Bible thumping. I'm very much a God fearing man but it's got a time and place. I also can't stand crusaders that go around trying to belittle people by quoting the Bible and making themeslves sound Holy as Thou because they know some scripture.
Take it down a notch Preacher Man, it's waaaay over the top.
Re: Health Care Bill is Passed
Bug,
It's no secret I think he is full of himself and his self proclaimed importance to this country. He is a tool in my mind, like I said if nancy P was running against the GOP at that election she would be POTUS.
He is a product of what you can become in this country regardless of color...yet he seems to forget that it's the men and women who serve this country that enabled him and us to have these freedoms and choices. Him even mentioning that veterans are selfish makes my stomach turn...check that... it gets me angry! MAN he is a piece of.......work.
Disagreement and debate are fine....name calling, racism, lies, and hatred are totally ignorant. Maybe you will get taxed.....do you make $250,000?...If so sorry about your luck..Trickle down economics from the Reagan days are over..Most Business owners who make the big bucks hire people for low wages and little if any health insurance...and spend their money on Hummers and mansions....now it's payback time!!!!!
You condemning name calling is a joke right? BTW, welcome back I like your new handle er... ukkid.
Despite all the cameras rolling nobody can find any evidence on any tape of anyone shouting the N word at black politicians at the Tea Party protest. Nobody was cited or arrested for spitting either. Not saying it didn't happen but there's no hard evidence, and the race card sure does get thrown a lot when the going gets tough.
Your mindset is exactly what drags this country down. Instead getting off your butt and achieving wealth yourself, you figure them bad ole rich people owe you. Democrat politicians take advantage your lack of initiative and envy to gain more power for themselves while laughing up their elitist sleeves at you.
Newsflash: $250,000 is not rich, there are tons of small businesses owners out there providing jobs for people like you who have those kinds numbers on the books. Do they take that much home? Not even close, and now they'll get even less which in turn will get people like yourself laid off.
When the government takes away all the 'rich' peoples' money who's going to provide jobs? You?
The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern." --Proverbs 29:7
I know a lot of people who care a lot about the poor and do a lot to help them.....and could do a whole lot more if the government didn't take so much of their money and waste it on anything and everything.
Isn't it better to voluntarily give to the poor than to be forced to under threat of incarceration or fines?
Re: Health Care Bill is Passed
I have health insurance through work, but it is cheaper for us to buy my wife's policy on our own since her work doesn't provide it.
I have heard that the cost of her policy will eventually be raised because of this. Don't know if it's true or not, but it seems typical that the people who are handling things on their own usually get punished to help assist those who are not.
Re: Health Care Bill is Passed
I don't know if this bill will actually drive down costs. It's the cost that's the issue. More people living longer and reliant on the insurance for much longer periods of time. The bill will force everyone to carry insurance, which will help shoulder the burden some. Perhaps if individual rates raise people might be more conscienscous (sp?) of the health care decisions they make.
Insurance companies can no longer deny people for pre-existing medical conditions, but at the same time a whole new pool of uninsured people that will now require insurance by law will come calling. Is there anything in the bill that prevents insurance companies from simply raising their premiums?
